Better Scar Product – Medical Provider Review
I purchased this product on my husband’s account so I will review it here but my name is Cristie and as a provider in OB/GYN, I am very impressed with Scar Science. I have personally used this for a surgical facial scar and an arm laceration that was the result of a fall. I have had great results with both wounds and I am recommending it to my patients.First – The Brush Applicator: This is so innovative in that it allows the silicone to reach all the surface tissue of the healing scar. The soft brush bristles make this so easy, especially if the scar is still tender.Second – The Silicone Consistency: We have been using silicone for scar care for years because nothing works better. The silicone in Scar Science feels like a high end moisturizer. It goes on smooth and is not greasy or tacky like some other silicone products.Third – The Push Button Dispenser: To use the gel you push the bottom button and the gel comes right onto the brush. I love that I can apply without touching the gel with my hands.It is important to use any silicone product consistently for about 8 weeks for newly healed wounds and even longer for older scars. Easy to use
Prior to getting this product I had tried the scar tape on my scars. But I was having a hard time applying the tape to a scar on the top of my back. This scar roller was so easy to use and I was able to apply it on my back without help. Since using it I’ve noticed my scar begin to lighten. I plan to continue using it to see how much of the scar will disappear.

I have a large surface area of scar on my arms and this is the only good option for me, it stops itching and redness and heavily improves the evenness and color. The applicator ensures that I don’t waste half of it on my hands, and is easy to clean. Goes on lightweight and sunblock goes on well after. Doesn’t dry up.

Easy to apply not sure effectiveness
I like that it is easy to apply, you press the bottom of the tube like clicking a pen so the gel comes out and the rollers make it easy and maybe a little soothing when applying. However after trying it for a while I’m not really seeing any improvements with my acne scars. Also I don’t see on the packaging how long you are suppposed to use it for, before seeing improvements.

Does not work!! I used it twice a day for 2 months. 1 minute each time. I used it on 3 different small scars. It did not even soften the appearance of any of the scars.
