DIY Beauty Recipes Never Felt So Good!
Do you want to feel like a million, or better yet look like it. I just experienced Amy Waldow’s new book, 55 Fun & Fabulous DIY Beauty Recipes that incorporates natural homemade recipes for the skin, hair and nails. I say experienced for it is more than words on a page, but natures ingredients that heal, restore and make your skin radiant. I know, for I just experienced the Maple Oatmeal Facial Scrub that’s not only all natural, but soothing and great for my dry skin. The oats in this soothing facial mask are natural cleansers that gently scrub away dirt and excess oil, while the antioxidant-rich maple syrup restores natural moisture. There is something for everyone in Amy’s book where making your own natural skin products is a safe, natural, cost-effective alternative to chemical-laden, skin care products. This is a comprehensive resource guide to create 55 easy, step by step natural, organic recipes for skin, hair and nail treatments that not only smell divine, but are excellent for your health and well-being. After reading Amy’s first book, 77 Outrageously Effective Anti-Aging Tips & Secrets I knew I was in good hands; from a former Holistic Esthetician, who has worked in the skin care industry for a number of years and is dedicated in the fields of health, wellness and anti-aging. If you want to look good and feel great pick this book up and get started now.

Amazing, just amazing!:)
This book is an excellent source of information and includes everything you need to know including preucations, preparation, EO, base oils, natural ingredients and their properties, blends, recipes and many more secrets that Amy Waldow shares (based on her many years experience as a natural spa therapist- that is clear to me, I am a massage therapist and aromatherapist myself and I can say straight away if a book/author is real- and this one is real 200%). Her passion and dedication for the topic is really infectious. My fave recipe is the natural face wash with tea tree oil and olive oil, I have slightly oily complexion and have found tea tree oil really helpful and have never thought of such a blend. I also fell like hrabbing some geranium EO again, did not know that it helps for broken capillaries, really useful info for me.Just one thing- the author says that the EO are not to be ingested (like strictly verboten) which is true as far as spa approach is concerned and not all EO can be ingested, however, very few people know that there is also The French school of aromatherapy also called aromatology- this approach is widely practised here in Europe, especially in France (even by medical doctors) and it teaches you how to safely ingest EO (I use tea tree oil internally to prevent colds), but this is a science and another topic (also connected to reliable brands) This is why I must disagree here as I am a big fan of clinical aromatherapy, however, I also agree with this author in a sense that such a preucation as she provided is a must for aromatherapy beginners and those who are new to it, better keep on the sade side- this is why my review is still a solid 5 stars. She did an amazing job throughout the whole book, but for additional info I also suggest you google: aromatology, phytoaromatherapy and “Pranarom”- they teach how to safely use EO internally /sorry for my rant in your review section Amy- I just like it when people can learn more about different modes of application). To sum up- I would recommend this book with no doubt:) Great job Amy!:)

Another Valuable Book
I have 77 Outrageously Effective Anti-Aging Tips & Secrets by the same author. I loved that book – so I naturally picked up this book when it was released.Just like the previous book this one is full of useful information that call for simple ingredients that give fabulous results. What I liked most about it is, that the information is well organized and concisely presented.I’ve known that coconut oil was really good for the skin – it is strongly touted in many books and magazines. In fact it seems to be a principle ingredient in many up-market beauty products today. My experience with it as a home remedy, though was that it was a heavy and messy product to use.In the first few pages the author explains the various types of products and oils that are best used for skin, hair and nail care. While coconut oil is one of them, it is a variant of the regular oil that is required. This was an eye-opener. This is one of the many good tips and great ideas that I picked up to makes DIY Beauty fun and easy.A steal at the price. Recommended – BUY!

Lots of good info simply explained. I really liked the list of possible substitutions if you don’t have a certain recipe ingredient. Lots of good recipes.

A terrific book, really well written and beautifully organised. The author clearly understands the importance of value, and offers economical alternatives to all the most expensive ingredients, although many of the potions and lotions use really simple household ingredients. Skin Care, including Skin Conditions, Hair, Facial Toners, Masks and Scrubs, Moisturizers, Body and Bath are all covered with lots of options, even Foot Remedies (definitely gonna try those!). Everyone needs to take notice of the amount of synthetic chemicals in today’s beauty treatments, and this is a really good way to address the balance and save money at the same time. Great content, well worth the money!

Das Buch ist gut und praxisbezogen – die vorgeschlagenen Rezepte sind klar erklärt, benötigen nicht so viele Produkte und man kann sie leicht selbst zu Hause machen.

This book contains many directions for soothing, aromatic beauty products. I have bookmarked many to try. It is hard to find effective products for dry mature skin.
