So I’ll start with the negatives. I think its a little weird that you pump this and it comes out of foam, but the 2nd you put it on your skin, it turns right back into a liquid, not just a little liquidy. It gets runny liquidy like it’s practically water all over again. I. feel like this kind of helps a little bit. Keep your acne at bay, but doesn’t completely clear it. It doesn’t work quickly. You have to use it every day for about a week to really start seeing results. And for me, that just feels like a little bit too long to wait, especially since I’m doing what’s already recommended. And I already. wash my face with something before putting this on. So it works O. K. I would say this works best for mild acne to get rid of what you already have and try to keep it a little bit at bay, but I wouldn’t recommend this otherwise.I have a teenage daughter who also tried this. She has very sensitive skin and it didn’t bother her, so I will say I think it is good for sensitive skin, but for a teenager who has active acne, it just didn’t seem to work for her the way we anticipated.

Works great if you’re consistent with it
This treatment is great for me, however I had to remember to use it everyday (I used it 1 or 2 times daily) as if I forgot or was lazy and didn’t want to bother for a few days it was like I was back at square one. However if I was smart and kept up with it at least using it at night before bed it really helped out controlling my acne. It came out like a foam but VERY quickly turned like a liquid which is the only reason I’m giving 4 stars. I wish it stayed as a foam longer in my hand so I could use it better as once it went watery it started to go into my hands and I had to use more to cover my face. I tried many ways to keep it foamy and nothing worked.

Active Ingredient Caution
My daughter used this product for several weeks and told me she didn’t see much improvement in her break outs. Three pumps deliver the recommended amount, but you need to apply it quickly since the foam turns to a watery liquid quickly. Packaging was very secure/tamperproof. I was a bit taken aback by the only active ingredient – benzalkonium chloride. I looked this up up to see it listed as an ingredient in hand sanitizers, mouthwashes, spermicides, and algaecides! Maybe not the best idea to put on facial skin!

Effective to some extent
If you’re like me and suffer from hormonal acne around a certain time of the month, this probably is not going to prevent that in the least. Hormonal acne is an entity of its own that I’ve yet to figure out how to banish. But when it comes to a random little breakout, this does help. I’m not sure how effective it is at preventing the random zits because most of what I suffer from is because of my period. Wanted to give it a try anyway and see if it helps my face feel cleaner. It didn’t dry my skin up. The light fragrance didn’t bother me. They say you can use this as a mouthwash to help treat cold sores, I don’t know that I’d feel comfortable with that even though I will try almost anything to speed up healing my canker sores. I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend this, but I wouldn’t tell you not to give it a chance. Just don’t expect it to help prevent dreaded period acne.
