Great for a Reset Wash
As part of my curly-hair routine, I started using this as a bi-weekly reset wash to cleanse the oil from my hair. Very cleansing, and has a nice scent. It’s a great cheap option that works perfectly. No complaints from me.

For years and years, I’ve gotten what I thought was little tiny bits of dandruff after washing my hair, despite having used several different shampoos. My hair felt waxy and lifeless pretty much 24/7 except the week after bleaching it. This stuff…. wow. It strips EVERYTHING out of your hair, which is terrible for my dye but great for how light and fluffy my hair is after using it. I use this about twice a month, with a hydrating shampoo for washing in between. So worth having to touch up my dye more often.

Disappointed
I’m disappointed. I was looking for something to thoroughly clean all the products from my hair like mousse, gel, hairspray. I’ve used it 6 times and my hair feels like straw but there is still hair product residue. Someone told me to mox baking soda with regular shampoo and it works like a charm. Leaves my hair silky.

I like to use a clarifying shampoo once a week to clean product out of my hair more thoroughly. I believe that it helps my special hair products work better, not just adding to buildup. It’s a very good value and I haven’t seen any difference between it and a salon clarifying shampoo. The fragrance was nice, not too overpowering.

Best shampoo for weekly wash
I usually co-wash my curly hair and then condition, but I use this stuff one a week to wash any build-up and oil out. You just can’t beat the price, and it doesn’t have silicones or parabens (which are not great for curls).

Great clarifying shampoo
I don’t use shampoo often but needed one for a deep clean that I like to do every once in a blue moon. This definitely left my hair squeaky clean. Also smells great and has good lather. Never used this product before, but it worked exactly as intended. I’ll be sticking with this when I need to use a clarifying shampoo.

Bought this to start the Curly Girl Method. It’s used to remove all the chemicals and residues in my hair as a reset step. It does its job well, I think. My hair was squeaky clean. So clean that my scalp was so dry by the next day. I also have psoriasis so this triggered the condition a lot. I had to wash my hair with ACV on the 3th day to hopefully help my poor flaky scalp. If I ever try to use it again in the future, I won’t let it get anywhere near my scalp for sure. The rest of my hair looks pretty fine and healthy, though.

Very expensive for a VO5 shampoo and not sure the product it that much better than its predecessors and warrents the inflated price. However, Alberto VO5 has always been a top notch hair care producer so you pay for the product’s name,
