This stuff works very well. I was disappointed I had to keep it in as long as regular hair dye but it seemed to have a very strong pigment and covered all my grays very well. It was a but pricey, at $24 so I’m hoping I can get at least 3 uses. I have tons of hair but only use on my roots.

Not Herbal at All – Harsh Dye Chemicals
I was hoping this would be a safer option since the box highlights herbal extracts like ginger and ginseng, but after reading the fine print, it’s just another conventional chemical dye with a “natural” label.• Contains p-phenylenediamine (PPD) and resorcinol, both notorious for causing severe allergic reactions and potential hormone issues.• Uses monoethanolamine (MEA) instead of ammonia — it smells milder, but it’s still an irritant to skin and eyes.• Has thioglycolic acid and sodium dithionite, which are very harsh chemicals usually found in hair perm and relaxer solutions.• Developer includes hydrogen peroxide, which dries and irritates skin with frequent use.The herbal ingredients are present in tiny amounts and don’t balance out the chemical load. This product may give you decent color results, but at the expense of serious long-term risks if you keep using it. Definitely not what I’d call “safe” or “gentle.”
