I really love this body oil! I have experience with another one of Banyan Botanicals’ products, but it was a kind of honey. This is the first time I have tried one of their body care products. I shouldn’t be surprised, but the quality is outstanding! It feels amazing going on my skin, and it absorbs very quickly and evenly. The scent is my favorite part! This stuff smells amazing! It’s a very earthy, woody scent, I’d say, appropriate for virtually any body of any age and any gender. The body oil leaves my skin feeling soft and very hydrated, especially when I apply it right after a shower, but it’s never greasy or sticky. I do wish the scent would last a little longer, but it’s a natural scent, so what are ya gonna do?? A little goes a long way, too, so I expect this bottle will last me a long time. I have used body oils that were much more expensive than this one, often in smaller bottles, so the price doesn’t really bother me, but I would recommend watching for a sale. Best of all, Banyan Botanicals is a Certified B Corp and this product is sustainably sourced and fairly traded. It’s also made with clean, non-GMO, organic ingredients and is vegan, paraben-, phthalate- and 100% cruelty-free! It’s a fabulous product, all around, and I am very happy to recommend it! Superior

Not what I’m personally looking for in a massage oil but….
This has a very strong herby smell. I wouldn’t be surprised if most people found it too strong. It also requires quite a few pumps to get good coverage for a massage. Directions say 1 or 2 pumps for the whole body. I need 3 pumps just for a calf. 1 or 2 pumps is not going to be slippery enough for me, honestly. Some might prefer this type of massage oil, but I kind of prefer the cheaper kind that seems to last forever with just a pump.After some massaging it does seem to spread out a bit and work okay, but it doesn’t feel as slippery as other massage oils I’ve used. Needless to say, I am not planning to get this again.However, some might prefer this type of oil. If you’re okay with a less slippery feel and a strong herbal scent that will stay in the area for a while, then this can be for you! You’d also need to be okay with paying the premium for this since it’s priced as a premium product.Personally I’m going back to the cheap stuff. 4 stars for a decent product, just not for me.

Effective and Moisturizing
This body oil comes in a pump bottle (like a fine serum style pump) and is boxed.It has a very very medicinal herbaceous fragrance. One that’s not really my preference (I did not subtract stars for the fragrance, because that is a matter of personal taste). The scent did not linger long once applied and thankfully so.It’s a very moisturizing without being greasy oil. I found it sank into my dry skin quickly, and left me with more supple skin despite some dry, harsh weather.I don’t know how long this 4 ounce bottle will last – it takes about 15 pumps to cover my legs, arms, and torso after a shower. I find it a bit pricey for the size, but it is very much a quality product.

This body oil is really nice, it’s lightweight and absorbs well without leaving that sticky or greasy residue behind. It’s made with organic jojoba oil and a blend of herbs. The scent is herbal but not overpowering, more like something you’d expect from a spa or Ayurvedic skincare routine.It works well right after a shower when your skin is still a little damp, that’s when it really soaks in and leaves everything feeling soft and smooth. It’s not a super thick oil, so it’s better for daily moisture or light massage rather than deep hydration or heavy duty body treatments.The 4 oz size is decent, and the ingredient list is clean, no parabens, cruelty-free, and non-GMO. If you’re into simple, plant-based body care, this feels like a nice option to have in the mix.

A true treat for the skin and the senses
In wintertime especially, I feel the importance of hydrating and nourishing the skin all over my body and not just on my face and neck. Banyan Botanicals’ Ayurvedic Skincare Body Oil is a sensory delight. I appreciate that the bottle has a metered pump dispenser with a small opening. This oil has a lovely clean and refreshing aroma, rapidly penetrates skin and nails and cuticles, is nourishing but not greasy, and imparts a radiant but not shiny glow. I use it immediately after showering, focusing on my feet and toenails, lower legs, knees, elbows, stretch marks, and then my fingernails and cuticles. My dry and raggedy cuticles instantly feel softer and look better. As part of a good self-care routine, it makes me feel like I am giving myself some much-needed love. Do take care with one thing, though: My bottle leaked a bit, even though I brought it inside less than 5 minutes after receiving the delivery notification. There are a few spots on the product box that show evidence of leaks. The company might want to consider shrink-wrapping the entire bottle rather than just the cap and neck.

Nice oil but if you get headaches from smells..
I’m trying out two new body oils at once, this one is the heavier of the two. It’s in a spray bottle, though the oil comes out as a pump. The color and consistency are maybe like a light olive oil (amber and kinda slick). The cost is a splurge for a small bottle but the ingredients are mostly organic & clean, which explains some of the cost. It spreads far because it doesn’t sink in right away, and I can slather both hands, even cuticles, in one pump and still be able to spread it onto my forearms. Relative to the other I’m trying, it does feel oily on your skin for longer (I should say I’m putting it on dry skin, not damp), and I needed to wait awhile before touching my computer, for example. My main dig against it is I don’t love the scent. It’s very herbal, maybe heavy on the Frankincense? Whatever it is, it’s definitely “ayurvedic” in smell and if I put too much on it’s headache-inducing. It also lingered over to the next morning. Anyhow, the oil itself is nice but I wouldn’t buy it again for the smell reason (which is why the 3 stars). But if that isn’t you and you’re into natural herbally woodsy smells, you’d do great giving healthy, organic back rubs with this 🙂
