Similarly, the presence of jojoba oil and tocopherol appears limited, suggesting that the bulk of the formulation consists primarily of zinc oxide and water. This ratio may not align with expectations for a product marketed as tallow-rich.The scent is light and floral, yet its omission from the ingredient list prompts questions regarding full disclosure. Transparency in labeling is essential, particularly for individuals with sensitivities or allergies. The absence of fragrance identification introduces uncertainty about other potential omissions.Manufactured in China, this product is subject to the same regulatory standards as domestically produced cosmetics. Nice Mineral Sunscreen
My Wagomars Tallow Sunscreen arrived in a box sealed in plastic wrapping. The box shows information about the product, a list of ingredients, and instructions for use. The product was made in PRC and shows a manufacture date of 6-13-2025 and an expiration date of 6-12-2028. The product itself is contained inside of a glass jar that shows a list of ingredients and directions for use.In trying the product, I noticed that it has the consistency of whipped tallow balm. It does not seem quite as moisturizing as plain tallow balm, but then zinc oxide can be drying. The scent is said to be lemon, but I honestly could not smell any fragrance. It smelled like an unscented product to me, which could represent a stuffy nose and nothing more. I am not always the best judge of fragrance, but this one is definitely not overwhelming. The cream went on easily, and I was able to feel it on top of my skin as opposed to its being totally absorbed the way nanoparticles would. As someone with more than a bit of experience with sunscreens, I tested it to see if it would leave residue on clothing. Mineral sunscreens with microparticles typically do stain clothing. I was unable to get it to rub off on a dark cloth, which I tried to do repeatedly. I also did not notice the typical mineral sunscreen “ghost” look after applying it. This also surprised me. It is rare to find this, although I have seen it before. Still, I did feel the presence of the sunscreen on top of my skin, evidencing that it was a mineral product with microparticles. The jar is tiny, but then so are other types of mineral sunscreen containers where the product is thin enough that a large amount is not needed to accomplish the desired result. I have always been leery of applying mineral sunscreen to areas that might come into contact with clothing for reasons of staining, but I have addressed this above. Still, old habits have a way of sticking. I will likely use this product on my face and not on arms or other areas that might come into contact with clothing. I tend to use a chemical sunscreen in those areas so as not to stain clothing. Still, I prefer a mineral sunscreen for my face due to its reflecting the sun’s rays as opposed to absorbing them and releasing heat.I am happy to recommend Wagomars Tallow Sunscreen to anyone who might be looking for a beef tallow sunscreen product. Its combination of beef tallow with 25% zinc oxide makes for a powerful sunscreen with the natural moisturizing effects of beef tallow. If fewer ingredients are your goal in a moisturizer with sunscreen, this might well be for you.
