Flavor Is Better With Some Extra Seasoning
The cap on the Nourism Bone Broth Protein Powder was sealed around the rim with clear plastic and a foam and foil seal was under the cap for food protection. A small measuring scoop was inside that I had to fish out with a knife since it was buried under the powder.The bone broth powder has a sandy orange color and an aroma like wood ash. Being a protein, the powder is sticky. It dissolves quickly into an almost clear broth in hot water. Although labeled as unflavored, I think it tastes like a mild beef bullion.I added 3 scoops into a mug of hot water for a drink that reminds me of weak French onion soup, although there is no onion in it. I added a couple of pinches of barbeque seasoning for additional flavor and quite enjoyed it.The instructions recommend 3-7 scoops per day, so I increased the amount to 5 scoops the next day for a stronger flavor. It was good, but 7 scoops would be a bit much for a single mug. I think 3-4 scoops per mug tastes the best. The bone broth must be drunk hot though, because it becomes unpalatable after it cools off.This would be an excellent drink for those on a liquid diet. The powder can also be mixed into solid food, although that makes portion control harder.

This bone broth powder is a great way to get the benefits of the broth without the extra effort or buying large containers that needs to be stored. I saw that it said “unflavored” and thus, I tried it in some sweet tea I’d made. I’m sorry to report that it isn’t unflavored, however the tea did mask the brothy taste, but not the smell. Smell is super important for taste so I think that was the biggest struggle was expecting a salty beverage rather than sweet! I did knock off a star as I think it’s important to know that it will smell like broth even if it’s not totally tasting like it.I’m hopeful to find some other options for getting this consumed without feeling like the drink is contradicting the broth. Maybe a bowl of ramen noodles, with this added as part of the broth? Hot tea may make a difference as well.It does dissolve well, so you aren’t getting gritty clumps at the end, I appreciate that for sure!I’m adding this to my diet and hope to see some benefits to having this protein powder!

I really like this for adding to soups!
I’m a big fan of this broth powder, easy way to add protein and nutrients to other soups. I take this to work and mix with bowls of soup that I buy from the cafeteria. I also addIt to my own soups that I make at home. I’ve addition and it doesn’t affect the taste at all. The texture seems to remain the same but it’s easy to add a little water if it thickens up too much. It dissolves without any issues or clumping. Overall I think it’s good quality and I will be buying again.

Smells and tastes bad plain but great for soups, dog loves it
I’m not a fan of bone broth. The smell and taste are awful, if I drink it plain. However, I like to use it in soups and other dishes, to boost the protein and nutrient content. This brand is no different. When I first opened the container, the smell was so bad. I mixed a little with water, (it dissolves easily in warm water) and it tasted better than it smelled, but still, I could only drink a couple of sips.The main reason I ordered this bone broth, was for my small breed dog. I like to supplement her diet with it, and she loves the taste. In the summer, I make ice cubes out of the broth, for her to lick, to cool her off. Sometimes, she drinks it plain, other times, I mix finely chopped veggies, mushroom powder, or freeze dried salmon pieces with the broth.I like that it’s non-GMO, and made in the USA, in a certified-GMP (good manufacturing practices) facility. It’s made from pasture-raised, grass-fed bovine, although it doesn’t say where they’re from, and doesn’t expire for two years.Overall, this is a good quality bone broth, that dissolves easily, and offers many nutritional benefits.

This Bone Broth powder comes in a safety sealed plastic canister with a screw top lid and a small scooper is included. This is more Bone Broth and less unflavored protein powder. It definitely has a bovine taste and smell. Once brewed it has a steak like essence but no real flavor and it isn’t salted. 9 grams of protein in 3 small scoops is impressive. it’s nice for a boost when fasting or a late night snack before bed when I don’t really want to eat. I have added it to a smoothie very diluted so it doesn’t alter the taste of my other ingredients. My favorite way to consume it is with hot water in a mug with a dash of fancy salt.

The Nourism Bone Broth Protein Powder has the classic funky flavor you would expect from bone broth, so it may not be for everyone. That said, it mixes easily, is very healthy, and provides a solid source of protein without fillers. I also appreciate that it is made in the USA from grass-fed sources. It is easy to sneak into soups as long as you do not overdo it.Bonus point, it works well for dogs too as a supplement to support their joints and overall health.
