My doctor recommended that I take a calcium supplement as women tend to not get enough in their diet, and wind up with osteoporosis, fragile bones, broken hips and the like so, I have taken quite an assortment of calcium supplements. I discovered these after casting about for a replacement for Oscal after California put them out of business. They are a nice oval shape, not huge, and smooth so they go down easily, and I have had no issues with these upsetting my stomach as so many other did in my search for a new source of calcium. Each tablet provides half of the total daily requirement – so pretty standard strength, so if your diet is pretty good you can take one, and if you think you need it add a second, discuss with you doctor is always a good idea. As I take these daily, and will forever, I did cost comparisons – pennies add up over time – and these were middle of the pack. The company seems to have a reasonable reputation for selling what they say they are, which is a more important aspect of supplements than cost, so that made me more comfortable. My recent bone density scan made my doctor very happy, so apparently these are doing exactly what they are supposed to do. I have these on subscription so I never have to think about them. This works to make taking care of that aspect of my health easy. Very pleased.

This has been my cure for osteoporosis. I take one at breakfast and another at dinner. I have had a few falls, but no broken bones. Before taking this supplement I had three broken bones in under six months and was told to take this.

They are calcium, they do what they are supposed to I reckon. The ones I bought that were marked down because the expiration date isn’t that far out are a good deal. But I will probably stick with the calcium citrate I normally take in the future. Reason being is that there’s red, blue, and yellow dye in the Caltrate. Why do they feel the need to put dyes in calcium supplements anyway? I couldn’t care less what color they are. Natural would be better.

I have taken Caltrate for a long time now. This version is different from the pink-colored bottle I had bought previously. In any case, it is still similar as far as the calcium contents are. I am satisfied with it and will continue to buy when my current supply runs out.

Of the 4 bottles ordered, 1 bottle has an expiry date of Dec’2020 and the remaining 3 have an expiry date of 03/21!! we cannot consume the tablets within the expiry dates. There was no information of this in the product description.
