Scar gel works, but slowly
I ordered this scar gel to work on minimizing the scar from a badly scraped knee.The gel is lightweight and clear, and absorbs easily into the skin without any sticky residue. The metal tube packaging is the sort of standard for pharmaceutical type creams and gels, easy to squeeze out how much you want.I have used it for a couple of months and I notice that my scar is fading, although of course I wish it were faster. The improvement is noticeable enough that I’m going to keep using it because it seems to be effective.I like that the tube size is small enough that it’s easy to take along while traveling.I rated it four stars only because I wish it worked faster or more dramatically. I think it will take several months to fade the scar completely. In the photo you can see where the scar is still quite dark and the surrounding area where it has faded.

It works, its just slow as molasses
It does work but I had to remove a couple of stars for thr following reasons.1. 4x a day application is absolutely insane for ANY TOPICAL that doesnt require a prescription. I have enough trouble remembering my iron supplements twice a day haha.2. This works slowwwwwww. Its definitely not two weeks and the scars I used it on were not old. I did see some fading for sure after a good month. Their 2 week claim may be true for some, but certainly shouldn’t be their general claim.The good is that it doesbt have a weird scent and it absorbs into the skin fairly quickly so you can apply and go about your day. There is no sticky residue, but i also didnt notice any changes to my skins softness either. I just think for me…something more practical would work better. Its a good value for those who have thr time, patience and memory to use it effectively.

This cicatricure scar gel is great. I applied it as instructed and worked well. It lightened and minimizes the appearance of my scar . Did it make it go away ? Nope. It was still visible, just not as much . There was no smell to it . It was also quite liquid in form and it was at times hard to corral the liquid . Very easy to apply. The most annoying part is applying it 4 times a day . The other scar products I’ve used usually indicate twice a day. I didn’t like having to carry a scar gel around like. So minor inconveniences aside , it worked .

Actually works. I’m using on a scar my son got at least a year ago. It brightened it a bit. You are supposed to use it 4 times a day, which is a lot. Sometimes we forget to do all 4 treatments but I’m seeing a difference. My son has sensory issues but has no problem with this. It’s a thin ointment and you only need a little amount. Not sticky. Not very moisturizing, it’s more like a gel. No scent. Good value scar treatment that has results.

Showing progress even though I’m not applying as often as I should.
I did not use this four times a day. I tried but I just never remembered. It was easy enough to do while getting dressed in the morning and after showering in the evening, but I rarely remembered to do it during the day. It still worked. This wasn’t a new scar where the healing process was still working so that I could be giving credit to this product for what would have occurred anyways. This is a year-old surgical scar that has maintained a bit of an angry look. My scars tend to heal very nicely over time but over a pretty long period of time. You can’t really see the scar on my face anymore without really looking but it took a couple of decades to get to that point. The newer scar on my thigh was still somewhat raised and holding onto a lot of red coloring. It wasn’t infection it was just the scar tissue. The redness has diminished and the scar has almost completely flattened out already. A couple more weeks and this should look like most of my really old scars that are just thin little lines.
