This sunscreen is well-known, but let me tell you about the manufacturer….
Have been using this sunscreen for most of my life—it’s been around forever. Product consistency has always been 100 percent perfect.But a few weeks ago I purchased the sunscreen I’m reviewing here, and when I went to use it, rather than finding a well-blended white lotion, the lotion had separated into white clumps and a watery liquid. The product was clearly defective even though it was well within its use-by date.I reached out to Coppertone via email and asked for a product replacement. They got back to me that same afternoon with a letter of apology, sent me coupons for a few free bottles of this sunscreen, included some additional discount coupons for Coppertone products, and also sent a prepaid label and pouch to return the defective product since they wanted to make sure that they were able to solve whatever had led to that product being released in that condition.All in all, I was impressed. Coppertone is clearly a firm with a customer-centric culture, and a commitment to product quality.I thought I’d share this since it isn’t everyday that customers gets an inside look into the culture and values of an otherwise very well-known, market leading firm like Coppertone.

Brown skin sporty girl loves this
I am a brown skin girl and I’ve been searching for some sunblock that will stop me my acne scars from getting worse. I’ve been doing some new skin care and one product I use tells me to be careful in the sun because I can burn easy with the product. I’ve used black girl sunscreen before but it wasn’t that impressive. Then a few days ago I saw a post about how black girl sunscreen isn’t great because it doesn’t have zinc oxide in it. I did some research and I found that if sunblock doesn’t contain zinc oxide, it’s not gonna be that great. I also needed sunblock that doesn’t burn my eyes when I sweat or come off with water/sweat because I work out in the summer heat. I had been using another sunblock for my face, again it was just mediocre and I was skeptical about how much it was really preventing sun damage. I came across this sunblock and it checked all the boxes. 50 SPF, resistant against water and sweat, good price for the quantity, zinc oxide. I’ve been using this for a few days and I really like it. It DOES leave the white cast because of the zinc but I don’t mind it because it’s just being used for when I work out or I’m at the pool. If I only put little dots and rub it in, the white cast is less noticeable! The white cast actually deflects the sun so I really don’t mind it. Good stuff!

Would buy again…just as expected
This is perfect. I wanted something to go on tattoos since we were having add ons to them soon after a 7 day cruise, and we had to ensure we didn’t get sunburned on or near the areas. I wanted something easy to use, that didn’t leave a heavy white residue. I have always trusted Coppertone, and this didn’t fail. Clear on, stays for a long time, worked well and had no strong smell…not that I would have minded. Coconut smell…😃

Good price for face sunscreen. Slightly “sweaty” feel on face throughout day.
I was so happy to discovered stick sunscreen which goes on less greasy and less messy. The only “con” about this stick is the way it feels on my face throughout the day. There’s no other way to say it: It feels like a thin layer of sweat is resting on my chin and upper lip. This sensation does not occur with the Neutrogena Beach Defense stick (which is not as good for your face due to some comedogenic ingredients).I use the Neutrogena Beach Defense on my neck and this Coppertone one on my face since it is less likely to cause acne issues.

I LOVE spf 100, I know people like to say anything above 30 or whatever is pointless but let me say, when I use spf 100 I don’t tan at all (and I DON’T want to tan, I’m Asian and the kind of person who walks outside for 5 minutes and I’m visibly slightly darker) and my husband is white and burns if out in the sun too much but this stuff not only prevented burn but I think also prevented tan for him too 🤷🏻♀️ I think these bottles are also awesome to be able to fly with too, we bought a few for our Punta Cana trip and we didn’t tan or burn, and we only used a little over one bottle for 5 days (we only wore when we’d be out in direct sun a few hours each day, and my outfits didn’t show a LOT of skin so less surface area). I hope this company continues selling this product, it’ll always be my go to for travel sun screen now 🙂

I rubbed for days😭
This is a nice product, but my skin is colored and it left a white cast, even though I rubbed it in for more than five minutes. Bottle came with some scraping on it.

Game changer. I’m very fair skinned and get burnt on a raining day. 50 SPF isn’t enough unless I put it on every half an hour. This stuff stops any burning. Still reapply but nowhere near as often. Easy to apply, ignore the reviews that say it isn’t. Worth the effort even if it was….

ゴルフで利用しました。快晴〜薄曇りのかなり紫外線量は多そうな日でしたが、全く日焼けせず。塗り直しもほぼなしで行けました。やや硬めのテクスチャーですがむらなく伸ばすことができます。かなりベタつきが続くので塗ったあとはパウダーで抑えることをおすすめします。塗ったあとは白めになりますが、トーンアップほどの効果はないです。かなり落とすのに頑張る必要がありますが、クレンジングを必要とするほどではなかったです。肌は弱めですが荒れることもありませんでした。ここまで強いものは頻繁には使わないですが、なくなれば買い足したいです。
