Definitely does what they say.
Started taking these for some of the obvious reasons I’m sure have been mentioned. This is my first time taking Maca, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I will be buying these again.The pills looked like the picture. I didn’t notice a taste. I take them a couple hours after my morning vitamins. DRINK LOTS OF WATER! I noticed a small difference after about a week, I’m about 2 months in and can say things are definitely back on track.

Energy boost
My husband takes maca for an energy boost. He swears by it and says the black maca is the best choice. Maca is sourced from black, red, or yellow maca root, and sometimes a blend. If it is disclosed on the label, I can’t find it. It is organic and made exclusively from Peruvian maca roots. Whatever the blend, it seems to be working fine for him.

I’ve tried quite a few supplements from Dr. Mercola and I have been 100% satisfied with all the ones I’ve tried including this.One thing is it is super fresh. When I opened the bottle, I took a big whiff and it smells absolutely amazing! It is real Maca and I can tell it’s very good quality. I have tried other Maca products and a lot of them have no smell. Fresh Maca will have a very distinct, pleasant, woodsy scent and this is spot on!The other thing it is certified organic which is really important to me. If an herb is spray with pesticides then there is a good chance you are getting a high concentration of pesticides which can be extremely harmful to your body. Since this is organic I can rest assure that I am not getting poisoned by pesticides.Another reviewer said these are very small capsules. They are not small, they are a standard size and maybe even slightly larger than that. They measure 1 inch in length which I would not consider small. I have no problem swallowing them, but if you have difficulty with the size you can always open up the capsule and add the maca to a smoothie or shaker cup with juice or almond milk. You always have the option of taking Maca that way too!This is definitely a 5-star product! I have noticed a big difference in my energy level and also my mellowness. Maca is unique in that regard! It will also help you with your desires towards people you are attracted to (if you catch my drift here)…it works really well in that way too!!! Love it!!!

I do not recommend
I used this supplement for 2 years straight and it didn’t do much for me. At first, it solved some issues but for how long I took it non-stop I expected it to actually balance my hormones but it didn’t come through. The most annoying part was the last bottle I got, had capsules that were emptied in the bottle, this made me upset coz it ain’t cheap neither was it doing its job and you go and deprive me of some capsules? That was when I decided to stop getting this brand and I AM GLAD I DID.I gave 3 stars because it worked for me at first and I wanna acknowledge that.

This Maca is a decent dose in small and easy to swallow capsules that don’t cause any weird aftertaste or ill effects. It’s shipped in a nice amber glass bottle to preserve quality (light can degrade supplements and plastic sheds microplastics). The price on this makes for a fair value even if a little on the higher side of average for Maca supplements. But this is above average, and for the quality and peace of mind you get knowing it’s legit, safe, and lab tested, the price is completely worth it.

I love this Dr. mercola Maca pills. I did feel more balanced and harmonious while taking it. I think Mark is one of the healthiest things you can take for balancing your hormones and a natural mood boost and energizing effects for your day. This supplement came in a glass bottle which I like because that shows good quality. But also it’s good quality it’s just that the pills are made very pure, the encapsulation is made with all good ingredients and no harm for fillers or magnesium stearate or stearic acid.

Received an unlabeled bottle of product. Not comfortable taking at this time because of that. Will have to return and try again? 🤦♀️
