Don’t judge a book by its cover, buy it!
If you’re on the fence, here’s what you should know.I have combination skin and use this cleanser twice daily. At first I thought it odd to be packaged in a tube with a thin gel consistency and directed to shake before use. It looks like a combination of a clay mask and a gel cleanser. However once you get past that you will find this to be a great cleanser. You notice first the clean citrusy scent which I love. It really does a good job of removing the oily makeup and skin oils and my face feels well cleansed yet somehow not dry. You feel a light tingle once applied. After a good rinse my skin does not feel dried out at all and my skin barrier feels protected.Bottom line – buy it! The price point is worth a good hybrid cleanser even if the packaging seems odd.

A Refreshing Deep Clean That Doesn’t Dry Me Out!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I’ve been using the Eight Saints Down to Earth Mud Gel Face Wash for about two months now, and I really like it. I have combination/acne prone skin—oily in the T-zone and a bit dry on the cheeks—so I’ve always struggled to find a cleanser that balances both without stripping my face. I struggle with hormonal acne and this product hasn’t caused me any breakouts which is huge. It has a really nice texture—it is lightweight but has a rich feel when massaging it in. It gives me that deep clean sensation, especially after a long day or a workout, but my skin never feels tight or irritated afterward. The scent is subtle and almost “earthy.”My complexion looks more even and feels smoother, and I’ve noticed fewer breakouts.If you’re looking for a gentle yet effective cleanser that leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh—without any dryness—I would recommend giving this a try. Also, a little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts.

What a great cleanser!
I have been looking for clean skincare products for a while and this does not disappoint whatsoever. My skin feels so fresh and clean after using, but does not feel stripped. This is important to me as I am reparing my skin barrier and I deal with issues like acne and rosacea. I have been using this product twice a day since I bought it, and have had no skin issues whatsoever using it. In fact, my skin feels and looks more radiant, and is also softer after using it. The smell is really nice. It’s a little bit fruity but not, I’m not sure how to explain it, because I don’t normally like fruity scents but I really enjoy this. I do get a lot of bergamot smell from it. My skin seems more radiant, feels fresh and clean, and also did a great job at removing suncreen. I think this will be a new staple skincare product for me. I’m grateful I found this brand!

I’ve really fallen for Eight Saints products! Their entire line fits my skin needs perfectly and this is another product to add to my arsenal. The mud gel face wash is my go to for a spa treatment. Starting with it relieves my skin primmed and ready for the next steps in my 5 step program. It’s rich and creamy, smells good, and leaves my skin moist, supple, clean and luscious. It alone is great for a daily face wash but it’s excellent in a 5+ step program on a chill relaxing self care Sunday. We all deserve it!

I really love this cleanser!! I actually tried it a while ago during the winter and I thought it didn’t work for me because my skin was so dry.I was super bummed, because it has an amazing texture and smell, it’s silky smooth and the smell is subtle and natural but really pleasant!Luckily, I realized that my combination skin has very different needs in summer vs. winter so I gave it another shot, and it’s been great!!It’s the perfect balance of a gentle foam that leaves your skin feeling clean afterwards, but not stripped like others. You can feel the residue of the luxurious clay after you wash it off and it leaves your skin really soft, but successfully removes makeup too!As always, I love eight saints because of their total ingredient integrity.As someone with chronic illness I am super strict about what goes in and ON my body, because everything we put on the skin absorbs!
