Warning – New Formula is Terrible!! Avoid if you have sensitive skin!
I’m so sad to be writing this review. I’ve been using Epicuren Discovery Herbal Cleanser (not the Citrus – for some reason Amazon’s listing will only let me review the Citrus) for over 10+ years now. It’s been my favorite cleanser for my very sensitive skin. It was lovely, very lightly scented with a rich and silky texture and cleaned perfectly, didn’t strip my face but left it feeling smooth and clean, not dry – just perfect! Anyhow, my last bottle that arrived was dramatically different in color, a much brighter pink, and I read the ingredients and was a little worried, there were about 5 times as many ingredients as the original formula, but decided to try it out, boy did I wish that I hadn’t – but I really trusted Epicuren’s products! Anyhow, immediately I broke out in a terrible rash on my neck (see photo), and had to go to the Dermatologist who diagnosed contact dermatitis from the new formula. Additionally, when I used it, it felt really cheap and totally stripped my face, honestly my dish soap feels more luxurious and gentle. I mostly want to warn people that if they have sensitive skin they should be very wary of the new formula and read all the ingredients prior to use. Additionally, I’m hoping someone from Epicuren Discovery reads this as well and that they will reintroduce the old formula. If it’s not broken, please don’t fix it!

great product but packaging needs an update
I have loyally bought this cleanser for years and years because it truly is wonderful, gentle, and effective. BUT the packaging of the larger bottles is really awful. The pumps don’t always work and they are impossible to travel with (always leak and spill out wasting precious product.) I’ve written to Epicuren over a year ago with this feedback and they don’t seem to get the message. They also should stop using plastic and opt for a more sustainable material with even the possibility of buying refills rather than entire bottles again.

EXPIRED 2003!! It’s 2019! Check expiration date.
EXPIRED IN March of 2003!!! No wonder i started breaking out for the first time using this product in 20 years. After I discovered this I smelled the product and it smelled like Sulfur!!! I’m so upset. My skin looks like crap and 85 dollars down the drain
