I am familiar with this brand of Skincare, having used it in the past. I’m sure the following will be mentioned in just about every review so let me do it now & get it over with, lol. This company’s packaging as in the wrapping & presentation is OUTSTANDING! Ok, so there’s that.The ingredients in this Eye Serum are solid. It’s called Retinol Eye Serum but it also has Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, all of which are ingredients recognisable by name by now. What’s different is the inclusion of Bifida Ferment Lysate, the use of which I’ve seen increasingly adopted by some better known (& more expensive) brands. On the Description Page it’s said to help repair & strengthen the skin barrier which is true but this probiotic-related ingredient actually does significantly more & the way it does it is quite exciting & unusual. A quick internet search will explain what & how.I know I’m glad Bifida Ferment Lysate is in this serum & I believe it helps differentiate it from so many of the others. It’s extremely difficult to predict how one skincare product that works for or helps me will do the same for you. There are just SO many variables. It’s a leap of faith type thing.I CAN say I like the serum & that it works for ME. For visible change though, these ingredients need to be used faithfully, over a much longer period of time than the couple of weeks I see people say they’ve been using it & have not seen any results. Well, I’m not surprised, it’s not magic. Expectations need to be realistic. And yes, patience needs to be exercised too.I’m writing this just a few weeks before Mother’s Day. Remember what I said about how this product is packaged/wrapped? My wife loves using facial products and she was recently looking for an eye serum. When I saw this eye serum gift box I decided to order it for her so she could give it a try. It takes a bit of time to absorb but it does a really nice job!The eye serum arrives inside a small cardboard gift box with a bow on it that’s sealed in plastic shrink wrap. Inside the box you have the bottle, a little metal ball on a stick for massaging, some shredded paper for decoration, and a thank you note. The metal ball is inside a little plastic pouch.Under the chrome painted cap is a built-in pump that requires a few pumps to prime it. Careful with how much product you pump out because this serum takes a while to absorb, and a little goes a long way. After a few tries, my wife feels that half a pump is enough to do under both eyes unless your skin is really dry. The serum has no smell to it and you can spread it and massage your skin at the same time using the metal ball on a stick.As far as the results, the serum definitely leaves your skin shiny after application, and it stays this way for a while until it finally absorbs into your skin. You’re probably best to try a little at first and then see how quickly it absorbs, unless you’re putting it on before bed and you don’t mind it making your skin shiny. Once it has had time to absorb, however, it leaves your skin nice and plump and hydrated.Overall, this is a nice eye serum and does a great job so long as you use it sparingly. It also comes in a nice gift box if you want to get it for someone else as a gift. Either way, if you’re looking for a good eye serum, this is definitely one to try!
