Holy horny goat weed, Batman!
This powder was recommended for some PMS and cramping shakes online, so I decided to give it a try. It does actually help a lot with PMS. However, if I use it when I’m not PMSing, it makes me incredibly… um… well, horny. That feels like TMI, but this is a product review and that’s what it did. I went on a seizure/migraine medicine about 4 yrs ago that basically ended my libido. A couple days on this stuff and BAM! My poor confused husband didn’t know what hit him. Took me a minute to figure it out too. It actually says that on the label but I hadn’t really read that since I was just going off the PMS shake recipe. Since it says it works for men and women, I’m kind of curious about the effect of both my husband and I were on it at the same time. Helloooo newly wed days! Lol. Bottom line, for me anyway, it helped with low libido and PMS issues. It does also seem to boost energy levels. Pretty awesome little supplement. And you don’t need much. The taste is kind of strong. Kind of a smoky, earthy vibe. For me, it definitely comes through anything I put it in. I always know it’s there. It’s not a deal breaker though.

Great Taste Great Quality
This Maca Powder is the best tasting I have had! It is a brownish color (see video) not the yellow color some cheaper ones can be. This was recommended to me by my Hormone Replacement Therapy lady to help increase my estrogen levels naturally. So far it is doing its job and then some! Increased energy levels are always welcomed here in this 50+ year old body! I highly recommend!

I love and trust Gaia as a supplement supplier first and foremost. I started taking maca when I was trying to get pregnant at the age of 42 (I got pregnant! Healthy baby! Yay!) but for some reason I stopped taking it in recent years. About a month ago it came back onto my mental radar and I immediately bought this and have been taking a tsp daily in my smoothies and OH MY GOD HOW DID I LIVE WITHOUT THIS???? The main thing I can say is I notice I have more energy and at 56 that is everything. I’ve really been noticing a drop in energy lately. I’ve been doing all sorts of things to help with it but it wasn’t until I added the maca into my diet that I truly noticed a boost. I know there are also studies that show it really helps with hormone balance. So basically–I could not be happier! One last thought–not all things work for all people so when looking for solutions, always try thing things you feel drawn to but if they don’t work, it just means you haven’t found the right thing for you YET…!!!

I honestly can’t tell if this is giving me more energy or any of the other benefits such as hormone balance. I did have a sex dream one night which is unusual for me but don’t think it’s increased my libido. But I do like that it has a nice flavor so it’s not a chore to drink or sprinkle on top of food. It’s hard to describe the flavor but it’s kind of a roasted nuttiness. It doesn’t dissolve easily in my hot coffee (leaves some lumps) but again, I don’t mind much because the flavor isn’t bad when I swallow a small clump of it. I will continue to use it daily and see how I feel about it when I finish the canister. I do love that it’s USDA Organic certified! I don’t like putting products in my body that I’m not sure of.

Most Digestable Maca
I love this Maca for several reasons. First, it’s Gaia and their products are top notch,so you can purchase with confidence. Second, they gelatinize the Maca so it is muchmore easily digestable ( huge problem with pure raw Maca ). Third, it’s concentrated:just one teaspoon has 5,000 mg!! One actually has to be careful not to take too muchfor one of the down sides of Maca is that it helps you retain weight ( part of its capabilityto build one’s body ). So if you start putting much more in there on a regular basis expectto actually put on weight ( nice if you’re overtraining and need to retain muscle ). Butin everyday use it will make sure you don’t lose weight. So stick to the one teaspoon ( oreven half it ). This is an essential for optimum health due to its stress relieving qualities andmaintenance of quality muscle tissue. So everyone should be taking this. It is the amountthat needs to be individually critically adjusted so the benefits are realized. The value ofthis product is also the best ( highest quality, highest potency, environmentally state of theart packaging ).
