I recently purchased this item because I suffer from hypothyroidism and one of the things Dr Amen suggests in his book Unleash the Power of the Female Brain is a good fish oil supplement. Well, after much, much research, I realized that not all fish oil pills are created equal. I was using a brand I bought from my local grocery store and I was having to take 3 to 4 huge pills a day just to get the recommended 1000mg a day, the reason being that they use low grade fish oil and a lot of fillers that are bad for your health. With this pharmaceutical strength pill I only have to take one pill a day to get the recommended dose, in fact one pill gives you 1100mg a day. Plus this particular formula has also Vitamin D3 which is a plus. I never have fish burps, and in fact if I do burp its an orange taste. The pill has this yummy orange taste, and absolutely no fish burp. The company is environmentally conscious as well and they use good products and quality fish. The packaging is very attractive and I like that because it says they care about not only what is on the inside of the box they sell but how their product is viewed and packaged. The have so many fish oil options as well, from people with triglyceride preference, to kids, to teens, to cardio specific. It is a bit on the pricier side, I was taking two a day and I realized id have to buy two boxes a month, a bit much for a single mom so I settled for one pill a day. Im on my second box and I also ordered the teen formula for my 16 year old daughter and the kids formula for my son. I know the grocery store one is half the price but I just cant put a price on my health and the health of my kiddies, I love this product and I will continue to budget it into my expenses so we all continue to benefit from fish oil.

Don’t lower my bad cholesterol 🙁
I’m sure there are a lot of great benefits to this product but I was disappointed it didn’t lower my cholesterol. There’s a possibility my body wasn’t absorbing it tho. Could be many factors and just like anything else you have to try it to really know.
