It contains 30 servings of 2 capsules each. According to the “Supplement Facts” on the bottle, the following are the main nutrients/agents delivered per dose (with my notes added):Magnesium 200 mg, 48% DV: essential to the basic nucleic acid chemistry of all cells of all known living organisms.L-Theanine: an amino acid commonly extracted from green tea. A team of researchers from commercial and education institutions in Australia found evidence in 2020 that this “may assist in the reduction of stress and anxiety in people exposed to stressful conditions”.gamma Aminobutyric acid, 100 mg: Its principal role is reducing neuronal excitability throughout the nervous system. It might exert regulatory effects on sleep and reproductive functions.Mucuna pruriens seed extract: its seeds have been recognized for their ability to significantly alleviate neurotoxicity associated with Parkinson’s disease (but I found nothing relevant to sleep).Biochemical research is ongoing for many of the above nutrients and substances, but all evidence I found so far seems to indicate this product has ingredients to aid sleep.

AH YES, GENTLE Sleep
I wanted to take these for a few nights before writing a review. I am a caregiver and under constant stress. I often lie awake for hours unable to drift off to sleep, and that in itself is stressful.First, these are formulated in the USA but the bottle doesn’t say where they are manufactured. The bottle has a US phone number and a web address to contact someone if you have questions or concerns. The bottle comes double sealed.Instructions say to take ONE or TWO before bed. My first night I took one about an hour before my bed time. I did drift off to sleep in about an hour rather than the 2 or 3 or 4 hours that is my normal. The second night I took two capsules, again an hour before my bed time. I drifted off to sleep within minutes. I only got up once during the night (usual is 2 or 3 times) and I was rested the next morning. My third night I again took only one…this time I was asleep within 15 minutes and again had a really restful sleep.IN the past I’ve tried different types of Magnesium with mixed effect. Years ago I tried Melatonin alone and it didn’t help. I didn’t know what to expect with the Mag/Mel combination with the other ingredients that I’ve heard of but hadn’t researched. Phellodendron Bark? I looked it up and it causes sleepiness.So, I look forward to a fourth night of wonderful sleep. I am very pleased with this Gentle Calm Sleep Formula by Genius Herbals.

Effective nights skeep
I am sleeping well when I take these. I like to cycle between a few similar formulations so my body doesn’t get used to the exact same night time routine and develop any sort of tolerance that requires more pills to do the same thing. Helps me sleep through the night without frequent waking. Easy to swallow and no taste.
