Customers say
Customers find this sunscreen effective, particularly noting it works well under makeup and as a hydrating primer for mature skin. The tint provides a glowing look, and customers appreciate its creamy texture and moisturizing properties, especially for dry skin. The shine aspect receives mixed feedback – while some customers like the dewy finish, others find it too shiny. Customers disagree on whether the product is non-greasy.

Part of my daily routine for years
This has been part of my daily skincare routine (under makeup) for years and it’s the only thing I use on weekends when going makeup free. It’s not greasy and doesn’t settle into fine lines and wrinkles. It also has enough color that I don’t look washed out if I don’t want to wear makeup.

Effective sunscreen
This is a great sunscreen for under makeup. Doesn’t pill or roll up. I wish it were a little lighter though. On my pale skin, it makes me look like I have a dark tan that doesn’t match my neck, but here is where makeup comes in. I put the makeup over this sunscreen and it lightens up the color of the tint. The finish is a bit shiny, but you can always powder it down. An influencer recommended this product, and so far, aside from the too-dark tint, I’m happy with it.

Great mineral SPF 50!
Great SPF 50 sunscreen! I appreciate that it’s 100% mineral without chemical filters. I can use it near my eyes with no issue. 1/4 teaspoon blends easily, leaving no white cast on my face. I am medium skin toned with yellow undertones. It leaves my skin hydrated, provides light coverage, and has no scent. I took off one star for the very finicky pump (please change the packaging!). Will most likely repurchase.

Best sunscreen!
Best sunscreen! A little dark for me but I blend it with the non-tinted version from the same brand and it worked perfectly and hydrating enough for my combination skin! I hope both this tinted and non-tinted sunscreen from Healthy Skin Lab will never discontinue!

It’s good only if you like luminosity and have time to let it dry down
This sunscreen is a mixed bag for me. I’ll use up the bottle, but I am unlikely to repurchase. You need to put on about 4 full pumps in order to get the SPF benefit, and when you do that, you find yourself really working hard to blend it in. It goes on very wet, glossy, and greasy. You have to work it into your hairline and around your eyebrows and take your time spreading it in evenly. Then, you MUST wait at least 20 minutes or more for the product to dry back and set. After it’s set, it won’t be as wet-looking anymore, but it will be very luminous/glassy/shiny. At that point, you will need to apply setting powder if you want to cut down the luminosity. If you like the luminous look, then you could use it on its own and just put it on and leave the house, but if you don’t like that much glow/shine, then it’s annoying to have to wait and powder it down. If you let it dry back at least 20+ minutes, then you’ll find it does play well (works great) under make-up. It has a creamy texture and is, very hydrating/moisturizin,g which is wonderful for my very dry skin, but if you have combination skin or oily skin it would likely make your skin way too slippery/oily looking. I like that it’s mineral sunscreen with no scent, works well under make-up, and is moisturizing. I don’t like that it’s difficult to blend, requires a lot of time to dry back and set, and leaves my skin way too shiny/luminous without powder.

YES
Wonderful – almost feels like it has a serum in it – love that this is mineral with zero white cast. Blends well, and layers beautifully over non mineral sunscreens and other serums and creams with zero issues. A beautiful product – just bought my second bottle. My only complaint is the pump squirts too violently and can get on things you don’t intend. I now know to be very careful to pump into my palm.

Hydrating SPF, just doesn’t work for me as a pale girly
I bought this after watching both Abbey Yung and Hot and Flashy reviews on this sunscreen saying it was both extremely hydrating and paired well under makeup with a high SPF (winner!). Unfortunately I am not a huge fan of this sunscreen. For reference I am fair/light skin tone, cool/pink undertone and very dry 30+ skin with acne and some very fine lines starting to show up. I am also very sensitive to most makeup products and chemical sunscreen which is why I go for mineral for my face.Overall I do find this formula hydrating, my skin actually hates hyaluronic acid but this has enough glycerin to keep my skin plump through the day. My main issue with it is the tint does oxidize and pulls orange on me. This probably would not be an issue for someone with a warmer/neutral undertone or just tanner than me but sadly I could not wear this without a full face of makeup to cover the orange… and it still perks through a bit in certain light which I do not love. I like being pale and don’t want to look warm or orange.Which brings me to the makeup. Ideally I don’t like to wear a full face of makeup every day but for makeup, I do not find this to be “primer like” at all. It is a silicone base and pairs well with my silicone based Fenty foundation but I don’t think it helps it stay. On its own, it does help “blur” my fine lines but if I touch my face at all it will just slide right off. I definitely have to set with a powder (which then clings to my dry spots, defeating the purpose of the hydrating primer like effect).Pictures are with just sunscreen, sunscreen + foundation and then with powder. I realize it’s hard to see the tint in the first picture but trust me it looked orangey.Overall, it’s a good SPF for sun protection and I think anyone with slightly more of a tan or warm skin would look great with this but I don’t think I will purchase this again sadly.
