My favorite gel
This is by far the best hair gel I’ve tried for my 3B/3C curls. A little goes a long way, it’s got a great hold, and as a Celiac, I appreciate that it’s gluten free.Alone or with mousse, it creates a nice gel cast that’s easy to scrunch out (with or without oil). Fantastic hold and if I sleep in a satin bonnet, the curls last for 2-3 days.I also use this gel for slick back buns (ballerina style) and general styling, it works well to tame flyaways even in intense humidity.

I’m really impressed with the INNERSENSE I Create Hold Styling Gel. I’ve been looking for a clean, non-toxic product that actually holds my curls in place, and this one delivers. The hold is strong but never crunchy, and it defines my hair beautifully without leaving it stiff or sticky.What I love most is how clean and lightweight it feels no buildup, no flaking, and it rinses out easily. It’s also cruelty-free, non-toxic, and full of nourishing ingredients, which makes me feel good about using it regularly. A little goes a long way, and it works well whether I’m air-drying or diffusing. Definitely a staple in my curly hair routine!

Good curly hair gel
I like this gel, especially in the summer. It holds well and is easy to scrunch out the crunch. Knocking a star off for price, because I do think it’s overpriced – but it works well. Scent is OK; not overpowering or anything. If you have curly hair, this is good stuff. My hair is finer and curly. Does not flake, either.

The best if used with proper technique
There’s a learning curve with Innersense products. I love this gel because I was taught how to use it by a curl stylist, and it’s the best I’ve ever used with the right technique. This product is concentrated and works best by applying to sopping wet hair. Then I continue to add water to my hair and lightly scrunch. I without knowing how to use it, I would not have liked it. With proper technique the results are amazing!

Beware of hard dryness
Debated giving it only 2 stars, here’s why. I’m a natural 4c girl, with a short Afro. This product definitely gave me curly texture. However when it dries it’s hard as a rock. Absolutely no moisture. I’m giving it the benefit because I’ll need to experiment with adding a leave in or shea butter first or something to help with the super dry hard texture of my hair without leaving flakes. I do like it on my edges tho, so far it’s the best at holding it down

I’ve been looking for a gel that I love and would repurchase for years, this is the one. I love it. Smells great, it’s a bit pricey but you need so little product and the bottle is good size. I have 2C 3A curls and my hair is very thick, usually curls fall out and frizz quickly but not with this gel.
