The Best Mineral Sunscreen I’ve Tried
I’ve tried a lot of brands of mineral and chemical sunscreen. This one by far is the most friendly on my acne-prone skin, the most tough against saltwater, and the most hydrating. It goes on thick but it does not struggle to spread nicely like you think it would. The white cast is there but completely tolerable. I originally purchased it for a trip to Maui where I wanted to be cautious of the sensitive reef and aquatic life. I surfed for nearly 3 hours and it kept me perfectly protected as opposed to most other sunscreens which I find immediately wash off. Overall I highly recommend this. Only downside is that it can be hard to wash off!

Favorite Sunscreen <3
I bought this for a trip to Maui and it immediately became my favorite sunscreen! I love the smell! It goes on almost clear! It doesn't cause eye burning!It's extremely easy to apply. I'm able to apply it 3 or 4 times in a day without product build up. Currently, I wear this everyday even indoors. My skin has become softer since using this.I love that it's a physical sunscreen. Since it's using Non-Nano Zinc Oxide, it offers a wide range of UVA protection. It is considered healthier being Non-Nano where the ingredient wouldn't penetrate your skin.With other brands, typically this kind of sunscreen would leave more of a white cast than it currently does. It's recommended to look for around 20% Zinc Oxide for proper protection. This offers 25% which offers very high UVA protection - highest % allowed by FDA. There wouldn't be another product with a higher % of Zinc Oxide in the US market. When I've looked at other products, most have a lower % than this product.Very happy with this. I've bought multiple time now and plan to keep purchasing.

I LOVE this product for several reasons & highly recommend it if you care about what you put in & on your body.1) Kokua Sun Care works incredibly effectively. I’m a Greek island sailor & California resident – it protects the skin & doesn’t damage my microbiome or endocrine system w/ harsh chemicals not to mention it does not damage our seas or coral reefs2) It’s a family business (I checked out their website & love what this brand is about – they actually care!)3) It’s sourced & manufactured responsibly. I use it daily as part of my skincare routine. Face, neck, hands & overall body.Skincare routine: I mix it with my foundation & maintain a dewy strong coverage all day. I re-apply when sailing. LOVE this product & keep 3 tubes at hand constantly. 1 in bathroom, 1 on sailboat & 1 in car – the whole family loves it! No more rashes & harsh chemicals from the brands available in pharmacies & dept stores. I hope they start carrying this in more places!

Great reef safe sun block, but made me break out
I bought this for a trip to Hawaii because we were told of the importance of using reef safe sunblock while we were there. This product worked extremely well for sun protection. I usually burn regardless of what sunblock I use whenever I visit Hawaii, but I had no sun burn at all this trip despite spending nearly all day, every day in the sun. This product does have kind of a weird smell, but it doesn’t smell terrible. However, I took off one star because it made my skin breakout. I usually have a pimple here or there, but by the end of the trip after using this every day, I had about 5 – 6 new pimples. I know that they sell a sunblock specifically for the face, but I didn’t want to buy two sunblocks for our short trip.

Best sun and skin protection
I buy this product about twice a year and wear it religiously, reapplying it often during the day. I am almost 70 years old and this sunscreen is nice and thick but blends in well on my tanned Asian skin. I mix in a little foundation and that’s my makeup routine for the day. It feels wonderful on my aging skin and very moisturizing. The expiration date on each tube is well into the next year for each of them which tells me the product being sold hasn’t been sitting on a shelf somewhere. I usually buy this on Amazon but when the actual Kukui site has a sale or if I want the small travel size, I will buy direct. The website also sells other amazing products that I recommend as well. I hope Amazon can start selling the travel size too but that’s ok, I’m glad for a fast and easy way to buy this product stateside.

JOJOBA FREE AND CLEAN-WORKS WELL FOR SENSITIVE SKIN
I love this sunscreen! It works awesome on your face and your body and doesn’t cause break outs, it has great CLEAN sun protection. One of my FAVORITE things about it is it DOES NOT HAVE JOJOBA! I get irritation and weird rashes everytime I use sunscreen with it. Eveything seems to have that as their moisturizer, but this has Kukui nut and aloe! My skin stays moist and hydrated. I have used it every day for 6 years! I have even took it to Hawaii and it’s super reef safe.
