almost like a tart berry syrup
We use elderberry syrup daily for immune support. As a family who turns towards a natural way of life, this Organic Sambucus has been a life saver. It tastes delicious, almost like a tart berry syrup. My 3 year old loves it, making it easy to take daily without a struggle. The ingredients are all understandable with no hidden ickiness, and the fact that its organic is a huge plus. I buy this twice a month, and will continue to do so. Helps with colds….free radical killer
This stuff tastes like heaven and really does help keep the colds away in the winter. We buy it every time it gets cold and everyone takes a dose a day…we rarely get sick.There are chemicals in both the flowers and berries of this plant that are supposed to help reduce swelling in mucous membranes like sinuses and help relieve nasal congestion. The berries are also a good source of Vitamin A, C, B6 and have a lot of fiber.Studies show that these berries have the same abilities as blackberries and black raspberries to seek out and kill free radicals in the body. Can’t beat that!

I have been using this for both myself and my toddler for quite a while. I’d love to make my own elderberry syrup but it’s time consuming and I never seem to get around to it. I like that this is organic and that it doesn’t have a ton of additives (some of their formulations also add in echinacea, for example). I work in a school and my son goes to day care and I really feel this has helped us ward off some of the illnesses we are exposed to constantly. It has a great flavor, so my son actually asks for his “vitamins”. I knocked off one star because it is very sweet and I don’t think that is necessary (or the best, given that it is a health supplement).

My kids have been using this for a couple years now but just started the organic version(woo! I didn’t know this existed!). This has a different taste compared to its non-organic version.Anyway, here’s the real deal: they still would get runny noses here and there, a short cough here and there BUT it never lasts to where it becomes a fever or worse a flu. (We don’t take flu shots either) This is not some magic syrup that when taken will magically defend all viruses. It just keeps them at bay. Viruses are inevitable. You’re kids are gonna get them no matter what, especially school aged kids. I truly believe this is the main “supporter” to my kids immune system. I recommend it!

Better than any cough syrup
When I started with the flu, i was so glad to have this product. I had a very bad cough and used cough syrup. This was a very bad idea as my cough was down into my lungs and the cough syrup only went part way to curb the cough. However, the lower in lungs cough needed to be expelled but I could not do that since the cough syrup interfered. After the time was off for the cough syrup to . be out of my system , I immediately used my new Sambucus Elderberry Syrup. What a difference this product made. When I ingested it, it seemed heavenly. I made my throat feel much better when I slid down my throat. It calmed my cough but let through what needed to be expelled from my lungs. I will only use organic Elderberry Syrup from then on. I could breathe again after I took this product. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a cough as in in a cold or flu. There is simply no better product, at least for me.
