Great texture and nice tint/shine. The petal shade is a bit too beige for me, would try the berry shade next time. Only real negative is applying it; the substance is very soft and it is an odd shape.

Bad revamp: Overpowering scent, ugly container
Ugh. This product has steeply declined since I started using it many years ago. The new formula has an intense fake-fruit scent that is apparent the moment you open the top. I don’t know if the fake-fruit aspect extends to the taste because I refused to apply it after catching a whiff. Also, the new container looks really tacky and cheap. This balm used to be housed in a sleek black container that a grownup wouldn’t be embarrassed to take out of her purse in public. Now, it looks like something that belongs in a pre-teen’s book bag. But I could put up with that if the balm didn’t also reek like a pre-teen’s fake-fruit perfume. I used to love the sun-protection and moisturizing factors of this balm, and the slight tint was natural-looking and flattering. This balm has long been my go-to for more than 10 years, but now I’m going to have to find a replacement. Bummer. Neutrogena, please take this back to the way it was!

way too shimmery, gross banana smell
I’m really disappointed by this product. My two big problems with this balm are that it is VERY shimmery compared to pictures and it smells strongly of banana. It’s a good texture and moisturizes well, however, and these are both personal taste complaints, so I won’t give a lower rating. (I purchased “petal glow” if this displays on other colors’ pages too.)I looked at color swatches, user pictures, and examples for hours before I bought this. I saw that it had shimmer in it, which I don’t like, but in all the reviews and pictures I looked at it looked barely noticeable. The colors looked subtle but great. In person that is not the case. The shimmer is so pronounced that any benefit of the color is lost. I wanted something to make my lips look more dressed, a little bit of peach or pink in addition to the dewiness a balm gives. This is not that!! It makes my lips look lighter and smaller. It looks “icy” or “frosted.” I feel like an old lady or a twelve year old wearing it.Also, unmentioned in anything is that the scent of this product is…banana?? Artificial candy banana “Runts” banana. I hate banana and this is really gross to me. The scent doesn’t linger at least but it’s very strong on application.What I do like about this product is the way it feels on my lips. It feels like a good balm, maybe a little bit stiffer or dryer but not by much. If you like shimmer (or already have super smooth,full lips) and you like banana you’ll probably like this product.I wish I didn’t spend as much on this product as I did. I don’t think I’m going to use it.

Love Neutrogena products and this does not disappoint! This color is rather sheer so if you are looking for a color pop this is not it. Works great as both a moisturizer for your lips AND a sheer gloss. Works well applied over a matte lipstick color as well
