My children are on the spectrum and these patches, when used consistently, have helped with sensory regulation. We still have our struggles, but this (along with limited screen time, good sleep- diet-hydration) , MAKES A DIFFERENCE! 5 stars!

Comfortable to wear
I ordered the PatchAid Kids Relax & Calm Topical Patch for my child, but I wanted to try it first. It was easy to use and very easy to remove from the package and stick onto my skin. I did not experience any irritation or discomfort; the texture is like a quality fabric bandage. My provider was comfortable with us trying this product so I used one for my child. The vitamin content is a mix of vitamins and herbals, along with Magnesium (Magnesium Oxide 50mg), which I believe is a key ingredient in many relaxation products. I did notice that my child seemed to have a better and more relaxed day with this patch, so it felt like it was effective. It also did not seem to come off easily during play/recess. While I can’t say for sure that it was this product, and they’re not inexpensive ($25 at time of review for 30 patches), I think it would be worth trying if your provider agrees.

Great for adults too!
Having tried other PatchAid products, I’ll admit that I was very skeptical. Not anymore! I gave this one a try and I’m now a believer! Obviously as a patch, it’s very easy to use. But sometimes adhesives can be tricky. In order to make sure the skin area was totally free of lotions or oils, I actually wiped it with an alcohol swab first. The patch stayed in place all day and was even maybe a little too sticky to try to remove. But with my sensitive skin, this did not cause any irritation. I used it during the day to assess how it worked over the eight hours. It is so effective that literally partway through the day. I was wondering why I was so relaxed… Until I remembered that I had the patch on! I have repeated this experiment and it was not a fluke! I even sleep better on the nights when I use it. Taste like an overall winner to me! Currently, they are about $.71 each patch which, if you consider how much it would cost to combine these ingredients individually, it’s actually a quite cost-effective way to take.

The adhesive doesn’t stick. It immediately peels up. I haven’t noticed a huge difference in mood but I’m not giving up!

I like these patches are free of Artificial Dyes, Casein, Corn, Colors, Dairy, Egg, Fillers, Flavorings, Gluten, GMOs, Latex, MSG, Peanuts, Preservatives, Shellfish, Soy, Sugar, Tree Nuts, and Wheat. The quality seems spot on and they stay on. Vitamin B1 (as Thiamine Mononitrate) 3 mg, Vitamin B2 (as Riboflavin) 3 mg, Vitamin B6 (as Pyridoxine HCl) 250 mcg, Pantothenic Acid (as D-Calcium Pantothenate) 4 mg, Magnesium (as Magnesium Oxide) 50 mg, Zinc (as Zinc Oxide) 5 mg, L-Theanine 2 mg, GABA 2 mg, Ashwagandha Root Powder 3 mg, Rhodiola rosea Extract 2.5 mg, Passion Flower Powder 2.5 mg, Ginger Root Extract 2.5 mg. It has lots of good ingredients too which help support sleep and relaxation. Seem to be very effective, however as in any herbal what works for one, may not work for another! I’d give these a try!

Calming patches that work!
I am actually dumbfounded that these patches generally seem to work for calming/stress reduction! My 10 year old is outgoing, but extremely anxious and gets nervous easily…something I unfortunately passed down to her via genes! I’ve been navigating various methods of stress control while trying to avoid getting prescription medication and these are certainly a great first step. These arent equivalent to tranquilizers or anything, youre not gonna put them on your kid and they pass out in half an hour, these simply help relieve some of that built up stress and tension that kids with anxiety get….helps turn down the dial when the fireplace gets a little too hot. These work good enough that my daughter notices enough to request one of these when she is getting too anxious.Pretty much just stick them onto an inconspicuous spot on the skin and they will slowly start helping to calm the child down without drugging them. Easy to apply and they stay stuck on pretty well throughout the day regardless of levels of activity. For the price, I will definitely keep a pack of these in my medicine cabinet at all times!
