Pretty typical soy protein powder
I like to switch it up with my protein powders sometimes, so I gave this one a shot. (NOTE: I got the chocolate flavor.)Summary: If you’re familiar with Carnation Instant Breakfast / Breakfast Essentials, this tastes almost the same, though with the artificial sweeteners, it was a little less pleasant. Dissolves about the same as well.Mine came sealed externally, but the internal seal was put on upside down, ironically saying “Sealed for your protection” but it was jammed up into the lid, rather than sealed around the lip of the container. This didn’t really instill confidence that it was a safe product, but I’ve drank it now a number of times and have not keeled over, so… take that as you will.I prefer this with almond milk, rather than water. With water, I just have no idea what it tastes like, but it took me quite some time to down it. With almond milk, this is pretty drinkable. As I mentioned, it’s a breakfast drink when added with almond milk.Honestly, the cost is a bit high, but it’s a decent size jar and you don’t put very much in each bottle, so it lasts awhile. I probably will stick with local options going forward, but this seemed like it was worth a shot. It’s a nice little shake-up in my protein routine, but I’ll be keeping my options open.

What’s with the price?
Why did the price of this stuff almost double in the span of a month?It was $20 at the start of September, now it’s $35?I don’t remember it being some huge sale…I like this powder, but if they’re price gouging that’s garbage.

Great Protein Powder
Great product. Love the vanilla flavor for smoothies, oats, etc. The perfect way to get in extra protein for the day. Would definitely recommend this product!
