Eases toothaches and other pain
A year or so ago I went through quite an ordeal with one of my teeth and ended up having a root canal. To ease the pain I would use cloves (the actual baking spice) next to my tooth to numb the pain, but this was not the most convenient thing and also felt like I was sucking on tree bark. That was before I got into essential oils. My wisdom teeth that have never been removed since they are growing in sideways (!) and so never break the surface, but they still occasionally irritate the gums. I stumbled across clove oil and decided to give it a try. I used a cotton swab with a dab of clove oil directly over the area that hurt. It went away in the space of 2 days (although it always does go away on its own). That being said, it probably wasn’t the greatest idea to apply it directly to my gums. Clove oil is very powerful and can really burn your skin. It did not hurt my gums, but relieved the pain. However, anywhere else where I accidentally got it (lips, etc.) it burned for a few minutes. I would not recommend using it on your gums without looking into it further and making sure its right for you. My understanding is that you can use it directly on your teeth. I also use it in a natural toothpaste and a mouthwash. I highly recommend it as it’s good for a whole host of other things besides teeth pain, such as easing pain in other parts of the body. Although I’ve used other EO companies in the past, I keep coming back to Plant Therapy. They have exceptionally reasonable prices and excellent products.

Excellent Quality, Great Value
Clove oil is used for many health reasons, most notably for toothaches. It really works fast too, numbing the gums almost instantly. But, the main reason I bought this was for my little humidifier and for use on joint pain. This oil has that wonderful aroma of cloves, and works wonders on minor aches and pains. If using this product for tooth or gum issues, it is worth pointing out that it only takes a little dab, and the taste is not just wonderful, but it does have a hint of cinnamon to it. However, it numbs your mouth quickly enough that the taste won’t bother you for long. Clove oil is one of those items I keep on hand at all times, but this is the first time I purchased it from this seller. However, I will certainly buy from them again.

Not all essential oils are the same!!!
Quality is so important! This brand is amazing! I encourage you to try Plant Therapy’s line and compare with whatever you currently have in your medicine cabinet (no, I am not sponsored, paid, or gifted for my opinion, it really just is a quality product). This oil is so potent and a very little goes a long way! There are so many uses for clove oil but one of my favorites is adding a tincy drop to my facial moisturizes before bed. This has help keep my skin clear and breakout free. I know everyone is different but for me it works wonders. Be warned that the scent of clove oil is strong so if you are sensitive to strong odors definitely dilute it!!!!

Great for toothaches!
First off, kudos to the seller, Plant Therapy Essential Oils, for shipping this out so quickly. I ordered it on Thursday and received it today (Monday). Very fast shipping with the weekend included!I have some toothache issues and from time to time (especially the night time). I get an uncomfortable pain in my mouth that causes me to toss and turn in frustration all night. Unfortunately, I can’t get to a dentist right away, so I needed some sort of solution to help cope. Unfortunately, it seems Tylenol/etc don’t really help with that kind of pain, at least not to a somewhat comforting level. Upon doing research online, I found out that clove oil is great for toothaches. Although it may be a little pricey, I was desperate.I received the item today. It comes in a small 1/3 fl. oz (10 ml) bottle. At first glance, I thought, “This is not going to last long”. However, upon opening it, there is a drip cap that allows you to control the number of drops of clove oil to let out. Be aware that this strongly smells like cloves (like your grandmother’s potpourri – to be expected), so if you can’t stand the smell of cloves, you’re going to have issues with this (I love the smell, so it doesn’t bother me). Since this is undiluted, what I did was take a q-tip, put 2 drops of clove oil on it, then a few drops of water over that. I put it on the toothache and it has helped tremendously!Be careful, as getting it on your gums can cause a slight burning sensation, but it quickly goes away after a minute or so. I also was careful to avoid my tongue, as I’ve seen other reviewers share their disgust with the taste. If you are desperate, like I was in regards to toothaches, I definitely recommend you give this a try. Trust me, I know the pain you’re going through and it’s not fun. The cost is worth it for some comfort in your toothaches. Good luck and may you have some comfort soon!UPDATE: October 6th, 20157 months ago I ordered this product and it was the best thing I found to help cope with my tooth pain at the time. I still have half a bottle of this stuff, as a little bit goes a long way. I haven’t had to use it lately, but when I did, it helped calm my pain down to a much more bearable (almost non-existent) level. For those who usually/only experience pain at night and end up tossing and turning all night because of it – put this on your teeth/gums right before you go to bed so you can minimize the pain and maximize your sleep. Hope this review and update helps those who are looking into ways to help calm down raging teeth and gum pain.

Great product at reasonable price
I received this product promptly and as far as I can tell, it is of high quality. I will be using this essential oilto make the “Thieves” product; I appreciate the fact that it is much more inexpensive than Young LivingEssential Oils and, I’m sure, just as powerful. Also, ordered Eucalyptus from this company to be usedfor the same purpose. I also have a diffuser and love to use these essential oils to purify the air in myhouse.
