Great Product
When our doctor recommended statins for a miniscule spot of plaque seen on an ultrasound, we rebelled. Our cholesterol test results always fall in the lower half of the healthy range. So we found these and are quite pleased. Cholesterol readings remain just as low as always and ultrasound tests show no new plaque issues. Have shared it with other family members whose doctors are also pleased with their test results.

Easy to take, good brand
UPDATE: I’ve only been taking this product for several weeks, and my first cholesterol test came back slightly better than my physical, so my doctor thinks it’s on the right track — but he’s not entirely convinced this supplement will be enough. So I can’t report lowered cholesterol at this point. Per the instructions, I take two capsules with each meal — which means I make sure to bring a small bottle with me when I eat out in restaurants or someone else’s home. So far, no major side effects other than the expected fatty stool, which is common, according to research.In addition to digestive issues in the beginning (which has started to normalize) I’ve noticed a huge difference in my HAIR. It is much dryer, and more frizzy after using this supplement for several weeks. My hairstylist also noted the change, and this supplement is the only change I’ve made in recent months. I am concerned about my hair, and think the CholestePure is pulling the nutrients away from my hair. Hair needs cholesterol for body and health, so this is a likely explanation for the sudden dryness and brittle hair.For me, it’s worth a try before taking prescription statins, along with diet and exercise changes. My doctor is willing to work with me on this. Pure Encapsulations is a quality brand — and I’ve had great experience with other products in this line, so I feel I can trust the product. Will report back after my blood work.

This worked for me!
I have been taking this supplement for a little over a year. For the first time EVER, my HDL and LDL were in the normal range with my last blood test. Triglycerides still a little high, but much lower than before. I have not had any side effects.

Improved cholesterol
I bought this based on reviews. My Oct 2024 tests: Total=233; HDL=44; LDL=164. My doctor was too worried as a year before I had a heart CT scan with a zero (0) score. ** In any case, I began using this supplement in mid February 2025 and took just 2 capsules per day – typically 1 in the morning with breakfast, and 1 with either lunch or dinner. My April 2025 tests (2 months using Cholestepure) : Total=218; HDL 52; LDL=146. My doctor was happy and wondered what had changed. ** I am now moving up to 3 capsules per day, and we’ll see what my October 25 testing shows; I’m optimistic.

Product quality control
I received the product and opened it, only to find two empty capsules. One was cut in half and the other was empty but the casing was intacted. This wasn’t the first time receiving the product like this. We’ll see how the company response to this review. It doesn’t upset my stomach, I have no side effects. The effectiveness, I am not sure because I would need blood work done. It is a little pricey!
