Good little energy boost
I had never used maca before, so I read up a little about it before ordering. I discovered the standardized maca has more regular amounts of macamides and macaenes, which, supposedly, gives you the boost.I seem to have more energy, so I’d say it works, though I have nothing to compare it to. Energy in the sense that I seem to get out of bed easier in the mornings, and I am better able to get things done. I used to lay there for a half hour or so after waking up, but now I can roll out of bed after a few minutes, and I’m not too grumpy about it. I’ve even been so motivated as to pick up a few old projects, and get them finished up. Of course, that may all be a coincidence. It’s warmer, and brighter, outside, so maybe that’s why I’m more motivated.The crummy thing about this brand of maca is the price. I used all I had available, and was hesitant to order more because of it. I was told that I do seem to have more energy, so I decided to order more maca. This time, however, I ordered a different, non standardized, far less expensive brand of maca. After a month, I will see if I can notice a difference between my energy levels on this brand, and the less expensive brand, and update this post.**Late update**Well, the cheaper brand did not seem to have the same effect as Pure Encapsulation’s does. I even tried taking a higher dosage, and still did not see the same results. Everyone doesn’t necessarily respond to herbal supplements the same way, but, for me, this is definitely one of those you get what you pay for situations. I would suggest buying the standardized maca.

Better than cofffee!
This Maca extract is very nice. Very nice energy boost in the sense that it gives you a good mental focus and physical energy without any noticable jitters. It takes a few days to kick in. I take one in the 1 morning with my breakfast shake and 1 about 2 hours before I go to the gym or before football. Dont take it too late in the day or else you wont be able to sleep later on. I think 2 is enough for me and Im a 223 lb 6’1 male that is active.

Didn’t work for me
I was excited when this product was endorsed by the fix my gut website and my natural pathic doctor. I am a female taking it as a natural way to boost testosterone. Had my blood checked before starting it and when I was 90% finished with the bottle, and my total testosterone dropped two points from extremely low end to below the charts :/.
