Safe for Sensitive skin
I really really like this stuff. I was terrified of using retinol, but this feels sooo luxurious to put on my face. I feel like it’s improved my skin tone ans texture: less acne breakouts and less hyperpigmentation around my mouth. I have dry sensitive skin, and this was a treat to use.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
I’ve been using Hero Retinol for over a year. I’m 42 now and still have very few wrinkles (YAY, a good skin care routine). Hero Retinol is perfect for those just getting into retinol. At first, I was worried my skin would have a reaction but there was none. Very gentle on the skin while providing the retinol benefits for newbies. I’ve since started using slightly higher dose of retinol from another brand but feel that Hero gave much better results even at .75%. My skin texture improved and my skin was bouncier with Hero. Only wish they would produce a higher percentage retinol. Amazing for the price and quality! Don’t sleep on this gem of a product!

This product was recommended by an aesthetician, and I’ve found it’s best to wait until your nightly skincare routine has completed dried before you apply, or it will slip all over your skin and not really feel it’s absorbing well. When you do wait and apply, a little goes a long way. It has helped me even out my skin tone, firm, and shrink pores. The only issue I have is the smell which is very chemical-like. I would prefer no fragrance at all.

My skin doesn’t handle retinol well, but I decided to give this a try based on the reviews. I am sincerely amazed.I have been using it nightly for a full week, and I have had no negative side events. The formula is hydrating, yet effective. I have noticed no peeling or dry patches. No stinging or burning. No breakouts. I had some stubborn skin blemishes that I have been unable to kick for months with salicylic acid, and it all cleared up in a matter of 3 nights.I still use the same face wash, serum, and daytime sunscreen as usual. This is the only thing I have changed, and it has been notably beneficial in just a short span of time. I’m excited to see what long term use will accomplish.

“Too Gentle” for more visible results
while it’s gentle on the skin, it probably won’t deliver noticeable results quickly. The low concentration of retinol means it takes longer to see improvements in skin texture or post-blemish marks. So If you’re looking for faster, more effective results, this might not be strong enough for you and you might want to opt for a more potent retinol product. When using this I did experience a light tingling sensation and redness as if I had used a stronger product tho
