Nice hydrating serum but a tad thin for my liking
The serum category tend to be incredibly varied when it comes to consistency. You have your serums that are watery like a toner or, you know, water. Then, you have your serums that has a richness that falls just below a cream or lotion. This one seems to be on the watery end.The reason I like something more rich is that it tends to feel more hydrating and have a better feel when you have a thicker consistency. It also subconsciously makes me think that the product is watered down. I cannot say for certain the ratio used to make the product but I do feel that it probably has a higher concentration of water. It feels very watery as a way of using less ingredients per bottle.When I start a new product, I don’t like to add others to my routine in quick succession. Instead, I like to know that if I get a bad reaction or if it lowers the quality of my skin, I can attribute it solely to that product. Luckily enough, I did not get a huge reaction or have any irrritancy issues. I do think this does boost hydration which in itself is pretty great.

Very cool serum that works well
I’m a little bit of a skincare nerd, and not only did this product work well, but its formula and presentation is really cool to me!If you’ve noticed skincare labels recently, “hyaluronic acid” has been a buzz ingredient for a while. What the labels usually don’t tell you is that there are different derivations of hyaluronic acid that have different sized molecules. In an ideal skincare regimen, you’d start with a product that has smaller molecules in it, and layer products on top that have increasingly larger molecules. But, hyaluronic acid on its own is pretty big. So, very often, the “hyaluronic acid” claimed on a label is actually a derivation of hyaluronic acid that has a smaller molecular size.But what this product does is take multiple different derivations of hyaluronic acid and combine those with hyaluronic acid itself into one serum. Moreover, it clearly explains on its label that this is what it’s doing, and even gives a chart with the different ingredients of different molecular weights.I just think that’s so cool!Now, bc of the idea that you want to start with smaller molecules and work your way up to bigger ones, I’m not sure exactly how this fits in with that process. But, this product is labeled as “serum,” the instructions say to use it before using your moisturizer, *and* it feels more like a serum, so I figure I’ll just trust that and use it as a serum.As a serum, it feels great! It has a gel-like consistency that applies smoothly and absorbs quickly. It has a little bit of an astringent scent which dissipates quickly – I think this is probably because witch hazel is the first ingredient. This seems to hydrate my skin at least as well, if not better, than my other hyaluronic acid serum, and I like the ingredients in this serum a lot more. I am looking forward to working this into my skin regime!Overall, a super great serum.
