Great brightening effect but does smell like hot dog water
This is a great product. It does smell like hot dog water and feels a bit sticky for a few minutes after applying. I watch Dr Sam Ellis on YouTube (the owner of prequel) and I’ve heard her and other dermatologists say that good skincare without added fragrance may smell like science not roses – hence the hot dog water smell. It gives my skin a nice glow and does not irritate my acne. If you can wait a few minutes after applying and prefer a fragrance free good vitamin C serum – this one is awesome

Great product
I love this product..I’ve tried alot of different vit c serums over the years and this is the best one I’ve tried. The price is good compared to some of the more high end brands and the product is comparable. I like that is has a pump style bottle wich keeps the vit c active..unlike other products that have a dropper style bottle. The product feels good in my skin .it tingles a bit and feels like it’s nourishing my skin. My skin looks brighter and feels smoother.

Good, except for smell.
This product is very good for the skin. I am 56. It has improved my skin brightness. I have hyperpigmentation nd it has helped with lightning my skin in that area of my face. The only big complaint I have of this product is it smells awful. The smell goes away after a few minutes, if u can tolerate it like I do u can use product.

Happy skincare routine
This is my second vitamin c skincare product and I’m glad to say I won’t be switching to another one. Before, I tried a Korean vitamin c cream but didn’t notice any effect from it whatsoever.Prequel has brought me the nicer-quality serum that I need. I love that Dr. Sam Ellis makes this important skincare staple both approachable and affordable.It’s very liquidy so it took me a few tries to get the hang of application. I tried pumping several drops directly onto my face like some people do—but I have sensory issues and dislike that feeling.What I do is make a “cup” with the palm of my hand and pump 1-2 pumps of product into it so it pools. I dip my ring finger to get some of the serum and then apply it in large “dots” onto my forehead, then repeat the finger/dot method for my cheeks, chin, neck and nose. Then I use my fingers to collect remaining product from my palm and use them to rub in all of the “dots” evenly.I have dry skin. In my experience this serum is not sticky or tacky after applied. It feels smooth, plump and nice. The smell is a bit strange but I don’t mind it and it goes away after a few minutes. I usually wait 2-5 mins before applying my moisturizer and sunscreen to let it soak in.I will say you should apply this to bare skin always. I accidentally applied it over some leftover self-tanner lotion on my face and it was extremely itchy and uncomfortable all day. Use it as the first step for daily routine and you’ll be good to go.

Smells and sticky once applied
I have tried a fair share of vitamin c serums and the serum itself is nice however it feels sticky once applied to the skin and I can still feel it on my face 10 mins later, it is tight/sticky. The smell is obvious, like hot dog water. Not sure if this is the texture I want to feel or smell on my face throughout the day. Lets see if it is worth the results. No glow, serum is not thick.
