When our founder Steven and his wife Sara Jade became parents, they began searching for clean products to help their family live a more natural, sustainable life. They became frustrated by confusing natural claims and long, complicated ingredient lists, and discovered that they could trust organic ingredients to be pure, less processed, and more effective than common alternatives. This rosemary oil has been an incredible addition to my hair and scalp routine. It smells amazing—fresh and herbaceous without being overpowering—and feels invigorating when massaged into the scalp. Lightweight and smells so good!
Just started using it and it feels good on my scalp. It’s not very heavy so I can leave it in longer and it washed out easily. Made my scalp feel good. Will take a while to see the results but so far so good. I like that all three ingredients are organic so I know it’s a super clean formula. Also I know it has a lot of rosemary, which I like to use on my scalp and hair, because there are literally only 3 ingredients and it smells really good — like fresh rosemary.Update: I’ve now been using this oil twice a week (sometimes more) for over a month and I love it! I either use it at night before bed or an hour or two before I shampoo. Sometimes I’ll even work a few drops in after I wash my hair — I can’t use too much because my hair is thin. I use a scalp brush to really work it in and my scalp feels so good. Plus it smells like a spa treatment. I’m definitely less itchy and flakey and my hair is really soft and shiny now. I’m so glad I found this product. The formula is definitely a lot cleaner than some other options. It’s just rosemary, macadamia and jojoba oils, and they’re all organic which is important to me.

1 year review – I will be repurchasing
I originally bought this product about a year ago. I really liked the ingredients it had and after cutting my hair to a bob I wanted to grow it out again. My hair is now past my shoulders and I still really enjoy using this product. It smells really good and I think it has helped my hair grow stronger. Once I run out of the one I have now I will be repurchasing because it lasted me a long time. For reference, I wash my hair about twice a week.

The package was pretty messed up
The box that came in was smashed. I am surprised the bottle was not broken. The bottle was not broken, but it was wet, like it was leaking from somewhere. I bought this for my husband as he is concerned of his hair loss. I am sure he has to keep using it to see result/change, if any. It is a small bottle, but the price is Ok for it being organic oil.

Product feel
This review is a review for the product itself, later on I will post a review of how it worked.When I first opened the product I did get a smell of rosemary but compared to the one I was using before (Mielle rosemary oil) the smell wasn’t as strong as the Mielle one.I personally liked the oil consistency because it didn’t fall heavy on my hair (my hair falls on the thin side). Also, I was able to put and massage the oil into my scalp, but after I was also able to style my hair naturally without it looking too oily and looking like a wet dog 😂I’m going to keep giving this oil a try for some months and update in the future to share if it worked for strengthening and thickening my hair that’s coming in.

Does smell like you just left the casino but works great
Yes, it does smell smoky and probably if I used it by itself, it would smell like I spent the day in the smoking section of a casino, but I use the leave-in, cream, oil method on my wash days so the leave-in ( like Mane Choice Tropical Moringa or Curls Blueberry Bliss) as well as the cream (like Cream if Nature Moisture and Shine Curl Activator Creme) all smell pleasant which masks the smokiness plus.I only use a little to seal my other products in. The main thing is the results. Like a lot of people, I am using this time in quarantine to glow up. So, I’ve been wearing protective, yet cute flat twists. When I started my hair journey, I already had grown my hair out some but I was soooo lazy about taking care of it. On wash days, I was pulling out handfuls of hair. Once I started taking care of my hair and adding thus black castor oil to my LCO lineup, my hair took off. My hair was just below my bra band. As of yesterday, the longest part is approaching the top of my waist. For those of you who are black with textured hair, I would guess my natural hair is probably 4A, 4B, and 3C in parts. I am not great with that hair typing system y’all. I look at one natural hair influencer’s videos who says she is one hair type and I say that’s me. Then I look at another who says she is a different type and her hair looks like mine too. I will say that I am transitioning out of a texturizer so I can only judge my roots. I only know that my hair is high porosity and loves moisture. This stuff does wonders for holding moisture in natural and chemically treated hair.

I can’t say how effective this product works because I have only used it twice. I smelled cigarette smoke in my home and my kids were asking who was smoking? I finally figured out that it was the castor oil I was using. I don’t know why it smells so strong and bad! I would not repurchase this item due to the unpleasant scent.
