This is a quality product without the price tag. Really good retinol at such a good pricepoint
I have been highly impressed with the ordinary brand of products. I recently have been beefing up my skincare routine and getting the more higher end brands now that I’m beginning to age and am getting closer to 40. Now normally the adage “You get what your pay for” is quite true, but this brand is definitely the exception to this rule. This is a very strong and effective retinol and I’m astonished that it is as accessible as it is and the amazing price point with it being so well done and effective. This is definitely not for beginners of retinol, this is for the seasoned retinol users, and those that have no sensitivity issues whatsoever with harsher skincare products. I started out with using the retinol in squalene with the serum dropper method of transfer until my skin became slowly transitioned well enough to begin the highest dose available with The Ordinary. This process comes in a tube bottle almost like a skinny cigar in size. I love the compact form, especially with so many products being serum based and in dropper vials, this is a welcomed change. This has a cap like a marker on top, and a small pump to dispense the product. The product is neon yellow in color, which is the color of retinol product. It has the consistency of the paint that would be used with finger painting. A little goes a long way. It is recommended and advised to only use a pea sized amount, but lets be real a pea sized amount is barely getting my whole face lol. I use two pea size drops to cover both halves of my face, one on the left and one on the right. This container will last you a long time, so the price point is phenomenal. Remember to start out slow and only use every few nights and work your way to every other day then nightly. Dont use this for morning/day skincare routine, only use this at night. Make sure to moisturize on top and absolutely definitely wear sunscreen the next day when going out in the sun because if not, you will burn and your skin will be very sensitive. I will be continuing to purchase this everytime I run out 🥰

EXACTLY WHAT I USED TO PAY $90 FOR
If your retinal isn’t yellow it isn’t going to work because it just isn’t retinal. This stuff has only made me kick myself hard in the a** for wasting $90 a pop on my prior retinal. All the money I wasted over the years makes me cringe. I promise you all that I am very experience based educated in skin resurfacing. I had acne scarring and hyperpigmentation issues that were severe on my face and I regularly do chemical peels and have done so for years. I am very familiar with how real genuine retinal acts and feels on the skin. This is the EXACT same think that other companies are charging more than 3 times what this costs. This stuff is a game changer for both my wallet and my face. I have nothing bad to say. Anyone who pays premium pricing is essentially throwing money away for not additional skin benefit because this is the exact same thing you can pay iver $100 on other websites. I get being brand loyal but when it comes down to it, I’m not independently wealthy, I’m actually broke lmao, (it’s true, funny, not funny) so every cent spent matters in my world. I just paid the extreme prices because I needed improvement in my skin so I paid those stupidly high prices for years to ensure I got a quality retinal, and though I did get high quality I now realize I could have been getting this and only spending $20 some dollars vs. $100. So mad I didn’t find this sooner. Don’t do what I did and fall victim to the greedy manufacturers because your just wasting your money if you do. This is super high quality at a fraction the cost. It is just smart to switch. My skin transformation is still right on track using this as it was before I switched. Could not highly recommend this enough!!!!

This Retinal is awesome. Started out every other night for a week or so. Switched to every night and no irritation. Very slight flaking. My skin texture is so much better. I can see slight improvement around my eyes, and I know with continued use will see more improvement. I am very pleased.

I started using The Ordinary Retinal 0.2% Emulsion about two months ago, and honestly, I’m impressed. Great when mixed with moisturizer
Love it. Every night I mix 2 pumps with The Ordinary lightweight moisturizer to keep my face from drying out and it works perfectly. I’ve noticed my face is softer and I haven’t had any breakouts after 4 weeks of use. I’m blessed that I’m in my 40’s and I don’t have wrinkles yet so I can’t say how effective it is on that. I tried using this without mixing with moisturizer and it was not great. It absorbs so fast that a pea size amount only covers my forehead before I need even more pumps to cover the rest of my face, so mixing with moisturizer is a must for me because I can use it every night even though I didn’t build up to it and it keeps my face from drying out, and I’m using less product in order to cover my entire face. Results are fast with consistency of use and I will be repurchasing.
