So let me just start by saying. I am a thirty three year old African American female with tan skin. For years I have struggled with dark spots and textured skin. What I mean by that is visible pores and just roughness. Maybe because the only real care I was giving to my skin was a Dove moisturizing bar and letting the water dry on my face. Sometimes I would use a coffee scrub or a sugar scrub mixed with various other ingredients (honey, salt, and olive oil.) This worked wonders. The year’s do pack on to the face and skin. Let’s be honest. I was looking dried out! Like my skin needed a moisture infusion. I bought the true skin moisturizer and Super c serum a year or two ago. Once in a while I would use them. The first time I tried using these products consistently it broke me out. Like black heads and little zits. Not cool. Now that I’m thinking about it my skin seemed to be purging all of the gunk and bad stuff in my pores. All I know is that I was not a fan. Fast forward a few months. I love this stuff. My face has never looked better. My wrinkles are less noticeable. My skin is soft and moisturized. Also my dark spots are almost completely gone aswell. I have glass skin. This stuff does tingle when you first put it on. Sometimes I like to wet my fingers to spread the product. Love this stuff. Just got a second bottle. The lid did come apart when I opened the bottle. It was sealed super clean and professional. With a plastic layer that had the perforation. All I had to do was retighten the lid and press down to reseal the squeeze part of the glass dropper to the screw lid. I’m just so happy with this product. Worth every penny. I’ve also been using bliss pumpkin enzyme mask. Take the time to be kind to your skin! It’s very important. Just a warning. I was very oily the first month of using this product consistently. I also use this c serum twice a day. Honestly I enjoy an oily wet looking face. Lol. Just be warned. I also don’t wear makeup. At all. I probably could get way wonderfully with some concealer. My skin always looks dewy and smooth with this product. Super moisturizing and healthy. Please try! Lol. I’m drinking the coolaid.

Awesome Product, but for my use, I prefer the original serum
Follow up: when I wrote this review I was contacted by customer service because a I requested an exchange past the return allowed date. I was told they would be sending me the original Vitamin C serum 2 oz bottle no charge to replace the C plus I couldn’t use. That was weeks ago and I still haven’t received it or anything from Amazon about it. All I have is the email from customer service telling me to let them know when I got the bottle from Amazon. It’s an older email so I can’t find it. So I am writing this to let them know I never got the 2oz bottle of the original C serum that I was promised. I can’t use the one with retinol and can’t use it so since I’ve been waiting on the bottle of the original C I haven’t been able to use it so I haven’t had it for over a month or two now while I sit and wait for the promised bottle. I haven’t ordered it because they were sending me the free replacement order without the need for me to return the bottle I have. It seems as if they forgot. If I knew they weren’t going to follow through at least I could have just ordered the original C myself. Instead I’ve just been sitting here waiting weeks when they promised I’d get it in a couple of days!My aesthetition swears by these products and I love them. I have the cleanser and eye cream as well as the Serum and the rosewater toner. I wish the Niacinamide was in the regular formula but I cant use the C plus because it has the Retinol and I already use Retin A at night. So Im switching back to the original C, which I love. I use the serum in the morning and it soaks right in leaving my skin soft and dry. I dont even need a foundation because it makes my skin flawless but if I need to I can since it absorbs so well and is lightweight and leaves my skin tightened soft and dry. Which looks great on its own or with makeup ontop since there is no sticky residue. I use it twice a day when I take a break from my retin A every 4 months. It smells wonderful just like oranges and spreads easy. A little goes a long way so it lasts and the price is way more affordable than other serums. Ill never switch to another serum! When I commented that I cant use it because of the Retinol but was past the return date, customer service was as great as the product, getting back to me super quick and sending me a bottle of the original one I prefer for free without having to make a return. I dont have a reason to ever try another serum again!

This is the second bottle. The first bottle seemed to work pretty well; but like most beauty products it only works for so long and then drops off. i still like it and will continue to use.

Results in Less Than 1 Month
This picture is after a month of use. I’ve had hyperpigmentation for 10 years now from laying on the sun while on antibiotics when I was in my 20s – not smart. The dark spots are fading and significant lighter. Several of the spots and freckles have completely vanished. Now, for the large hyperpigmentation areas on both cheeks, I hope it continues to fade. Again, this pic is only after a month. Visible results in 1 month is amazing for a product under $30.00. This serum has retinol which can cause dry skin. I use a serum before I apply it and a moisturizing serum and moisturizer after to avoid drying out and flaking. It’s worked – my skin is not dry or flaking and has a glow. Super silky product and feels smooth on skin, it’s refreshing. No smell, and didn’t make my face red. It seems to absorb well, but I use a hairdryer in between each product u use to open my pores with the warm air and dries the product faster and absorbs quicker. It application, just like all serums. Very pleased and I am excited to see more results in a month from now.If you struggle with stubborn skin damage like me (mine is really bad) I know how freaking frustrating it is when you just want it gone! I thought my face would stay this dark and get darker for the rest of my life. I have a little bit of hope now that it will mostly go away one day if I keep following a skin routine. I have never strictly followed a skin care routine. Now I religiously have for a month and I’m already seeing lightening. Best of luck on your skin improvement journey! 🧴🫧

Light serum that is quickly absorbed, light pleasant scent. I have an oily T zone with dry cheeks and I find this product suitable for my entire face. I had a lot of blocked pores on my nose and they are less visible since using this product. Goes well under moisturiser or makeup, or use alone.
