I recently started using I Am Joy Water Lentil Protein Powder, and it has been a fantastic addition to my diet! Being on the green Mediterranean diet, I was looking for a clean protein source, and this product perfectly fits the bill. With duckweed being a natural ingredient, it doesn’t have any of those unnecessary additives like maltodextrin that you find in other protein powders.I love making my daily smoothie with it—I blend it with bananas, coconut milk, spinach (with a little Stevia), and the taste is super pleasant! I real bonus is that it’s packed with nutrients and keeps me feeling full and energized throughout the day. Personally, I wasn’t turned off by the taste at all. I will definitely order again.

I saw this looking for natural B12 sources to help with maintaining energy levels. I loved that it’s from water lentils and contains chlorella. Tons of extra benefits when it comes to nutrient content and because it’s from a natural source the bioavailability is great. It was exactly what I was looking for.Color is greenFlavor is wonderful. Reminds me of hemp seed powder. It’s nutty and mild. I’ve been adding it to my morning coffee or smoothie. You can’t really taste it but I tried it off a spoon and was pleasantly surprised.Will continue to use and would definitely buy again.

B12 for vegans!
Very excited to have found a product that supposedly has “the highest source of vitamin B12 bioavailable to humans and the natural source of antioxidants, fiber, calcium, and iron.” However, although it says it is made with organic ingredients, it has no organic certification. Also, no information on where this was harvested and more importantly how much vitamin B12 it actually has. Without that crucial information I have no idea of how valuable this is. You can add it no problem to your smoothies as it does not have much taste at all.

Superb source of B12 and protein. Water lentils or “duckweed” are amazing since it is comparable to whey in regard to its amino acid profile, but what makes it better is the fact that you’re getting the whole plant (not just an isolate) which includes the bioactive B12, protein, minerals and fiber. Really enjoyed this product and the company was awesome to communicate with. Will definitely purchase again in the future.

Not the same as the original product
I have ordered the water lentil powder several times and the first couple of orders were great in glass containers which had a USDA Organic seal. I loved the taste and texture mixed with oat milk.The latest order is not the same. The powder is finer and has a metallic taste, the container is now plastic and although the product is shown in the pictures on Amazon with the USDA organic seal, the actual container has no seal and only says sustainably farmed.Very disappointing. I felt this was a wonderful, beneficial product, but they messed it up with these changes. Problem is, I haven’t found anything comparable. I’m just not sure whether I trust this company to provide a clean, organic product. I would also still prefer the glass container.
