Tastes and smells a bit strong but works really well
This is a great product in good packaging. The taste and smell is a bit strong like a a bunch of eggs boiling. There is a sort of egg shell / sulfur smell and taste. You notice it right away and if you were to dissolve some in warm water and taste it, yeah, it’s tastes strong.This said, any sort of food, drink or some other flavor can mask the taste and smell pretty well. It’s not off putting per say but it may be a bit odd for some people. I’ve used in in drinks, added to meals – after done being cooked mind you. I’d rather not expose it to really high prolonged heat personally so it it goes at the end of cooking and such. Mixes well and dissolves well too.I’ve been using it now for a few weeks and think it’s making a difference in general. I don’t get lots of meat or other collagen rich foods where I live so something like this which also provides a large assortment of essential amino acids is a great find.it’s also a good part of balancing one’s diet. Bear in mind that collagen is best absorbed when you maintain good levels of Vitamin C, Zinc and Copper in your diet all of which help you utilize collagen better. So foods high in those are a great paring with this powder.

I love this collagen! It’s mostly tasteless. It does give a little bit of a marine flavor from the marine collagen but nothing that can’t be covered up with extra sugar or drink flavor. I use this daily & I noticed being consistent is the only way. It’s not overnight. From other collagens I noticed the quality is definitely there. Those $50-80 collagens aren’t worth it. The fact that this covers ALL types of collagen the body produces & absorbs makes the difference. The jar lasts a long time when others are smaller sizes. It’s helped with my joint pain & growing my hair.

I bought this to mix into a protein shake I have each morning along with creatine and inulin prebiotic fibre. It dissolves perfectly in the water and is tasteless. I’m in my early 50s and was looking for a supplement that includes all the collagen types to cover benefits in hair, skin, gut health, nails, cartilage, joint pain, mobility and bone health. This is for longevity as well as helping with knee and hip niggles and building lean muscle mass and bone density. I’ve been on it for 3 months and already noticed stronger nails, plumper skin (especially in my heels of all places, no more cracks), less noticeable cellulite especially in my arms, and my body generally feeling less stiff, especially my feet and hips. I don’t get as sore after weight lifting sessions either.
