Bitter, seems to help
I had a bout of something or other that pretty much incapacitated me from pain in the liver and kidney areas. I decided to fast for almost 2 weeks and mainly survive off lots of water and a very similar tea to this. The side effect was losing some weight and muscle mass. Now I keep teas like this around and take them for a week on and a week off. As I was about to run out of my usal brand, I decided to pick this one up based on ingredients as they are very similar.As with all teas like this, it’s bitter. It definitely tastes better than my usual brand though which is probably due to the inclusion of the orange peel and licorice. As with anything like this, it either helps or it doesn’t and effects are subjective. I can honestly say I believe this and teas like it help in my specific situation.I was going to knock off a star for the weird gunk on the back of the packaging, but that probably happened during warehousing. So leaving it at 5 stars as it’s 25 bags for a decent price, and if the labels can be believed it’s fair trade, manufactured in a usda organic handling facility, non gmo, made in usa, and has a good expiration date – 2027.

Organic Liver & Spleen Detox Tea (brand Jade Tea): These tea packets come in a resealable bag with 25 individual bags (each is not individually wrapped, so it’s important to seal the bag after each use). The tea is light and flavorful, without much bitterness. I could drink it on its own, without needing to add any sweetener, though I usually add just a little bit. I have been letting it steep longer than the directions suggest since the taste seems a little weak otherwise. It doesn’t have a strong flavor in either case. I appreciate that this is made of organic ingredients, not caffeinated, and made in the United States. I’m not able to assess whether it has improved my liver and spleen without bloodwork, but I haven’t noticed any negative side effects. At the time of this review, it’s on sale and less than one dollar per tea bag.

This sure does make one use the bathroom. Not a bad thing, of course. Just takes the right blend and you’ll be asking why you don’t have more. Smells great, too, but that depends on if you mix it with other tea ingredients.

A very pale tea after brewing, it has an interesting taste. Not exactly herbal, not bitter, not overpowering, but needs a touch of some sort of sweetener. Is pleasing to drink, and just feels warm and soothing.I very much appreciate that the teabags are compostable. No metal, no plastics, and stands up to the steeping process.Unsure how quickly any sort of detoxing should be noticeable, but this is so tasty and comforting that it seems worth it to me to just drink on the regular.

This tea has a mildly bitter taste. I add a touch of honey for sweetness. I steep it for 5 minutes and drink it in the morning. It’s made in the US and is organic. It has dandelion root, burdock, orange peel, ginseng and milk thistle. These ingredients are known to help with detoxing. The bag is resealable to keep the bags fresh. The price is reasonable at about $1.40 per bag.
