This AKUNA Ancient Australian Healing Clay set came with a jar of clay, bowl, spoon, spatula, and brush. There was also a little pouch to keep all the tools in. This is a great clay mask kit that has everything you need for a spa night at home – just add water.

Really nice Bentonite Clay mask set!
The presentation of this set was beyond what I was expecting! You get a really good sized amount of clay but you also get a wooden mixing bowl, wooden spoons for mixing and measuring. You also get a brush to put the mask on with. This mask is effective for pulling out oils and dirt from your pours. After using this, my skin looked good and felt very soft. This isn’t something you do daily but you can do it weekly or even just twice a month. You can also use this clay in a homemade hair mask. It does wonders for your hair and scalp.

HUGE supply of an awesome detoxifying type mask
The jar you receive of this mask is absolutely massive, and will last a very long time. It’s also a great simple to use clarifying mask when your skin needs to be revitalized and kind of detoxed. My skin was smooth and a lot less congested after using this. Some bumps under my skin seemed less pronounced too. It is drying, but wasn’t so intense that it made my skin feel crisp after use. You can use it on other areas of your body too to help with clogged pores and ingrown hairs. Overall, it’s pretty awesome!

In the summer months my skin tends to get oily and I was looking for something to gently cleanse. I’ve used masks before, but never bentonite clay, so I was eager to see how it performed. Here’s what I liked:Country of Origin: AustraliaIngredients: Pure Bentonite clay with no other additives. So healthy!Jar: You get a huge jar of clay powder that will last a very long time. It comes with a safety seal to ensure you’re getting a fresh product. This set also comes with a bowl so it’s easy to mix the powder with water and stir. You get a spoon to scoop and measure the clay. You also get a spatula to stir and a brush to apply. It’s very thoughtful and convenient that everything you need is included and it comes in a very beautiful box that would make a great gift.Scent: this powder didn’t have any scent that I noticed, so it’s perfect for anyone with sensitivity to fragrance or prefers their beauty products not to have any scent.Performance: It was very easy to mix the clay with water and get the perfect desired consistency. I applied it to my face and then used any leftovers on my hands because I had dry skin from doing the dishes. The clay felt nice on my face and there was no irritation at all. I have sensitive skin and some products in the past have caused bad reactions but this clay was very gentle. After about 5 minutes I washed off the mask and was pleasantly surprised by how smooth and clean my face looked. The mask also rinsed off very easily and left no residue behind.Value: This seems like a very high end product that comes with all the tools required… and the jar of clay powder is very large… so I would definitely say this is a great value.There is nothing I disliked about the clay powder and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to add a great product to their skin care routine! First experience ever with this type of clay mask.I totally enjoyed this mask experience, enjoyed it better than jelly mask, or mud mask.I didn’t measure the water, at first, I was worried I had added too much water.(my only suggestion is to add a small plastic measuring cup showing the 50ml line)Even though a bit watery, some areas in my bowl were thicker. I really couldn’t fully blend the powder. some areas were thicker. But regardless. I could use the brush and apply.It really doesn’t matter how thick you apply, as long as you cover the face.You can feel your face tightening as it dries.Best of all – was how easy it was to wash off.I don’t really care for face masks that cling too tightly to my face.Plus, I had gotten some clay on my hairline, and that washed out easily, as opposed to turning into a sticky glue when I try to wash off.TIP: for me, this is best to apply and then shower off.I used a silicone face scrubber in the shower to remove.That silicone scrubber aided in my gentle exfoliation.I have sensitive skin, and use retinol (which I read that this clay should be avoided if using retinol), but I had NO negative reaction.I read online that this is best as a weekly exfoliation. So that is what I plan to do.

Cleans Pores
I was only expecting a jar of clay but was pleasantly surprised by what arrived! Everything about the presentation and unboxing felt luxurious. The kit contained quality-made items to both mix and apply the mask.Looks aside, the clay mask also did wonders on my skin. Visible results of the pore cleansing and oil removal were almost immediate. I plan to apply this mask bimonthly for regular maintenance.I would order again for myself or even as a gift for others.

Absolutely amazing product
What do I like about AKUNA Acient Australian Healing Clay? Just about everything! The presentation (gift box) makes it a perfect gift item. And they thot of EVERYTHING (almost). I had forgotten that it came with its own mixing bowl and utensils. These are a really nice quality, smooth edges, and just look nice. I really would like to know whose job it was to put the bowl inside the fabric bag lol as it took a lot of effort to remove it. The jar contains plenty of powdered clay that should last at least 6 months if used once a week. There was no fragrance as far as I could tell. The mask dries quickly if not put on too thick. I did use a wash rag to remove the caked on clay but it all came off fairly easy. I have dry sensitive skin, but my skin actually felt more moisturized after using this product versus other clay masks I’ve tried. I suppose I could use the “spoon” to add water, but it would be nice (and make this set truly complete) if there was a small measuring scoop for the water.

What a great little pack this isComes with a nice bow around the box and inside is a bamboo bowl, with brush to apply the clay (works amazing at applying the mask I need to add), and a spoon, and a mixer. The clay comes dry in a large jar which you then take out two spoons full to the bowl and add water. Worked out to be a perfect consistencyI left mine on for only 5 mins (says 5-10 ok) as I am usually extremely sensitive skin but to my astonishment my skin after I washed and wiped off the clay was an even tone, I had no redness and blotching as I expected from a clay that draws out toxins . So I’m pleasantly surprisedEdit update – I have updated the review with a photo of the now cracked in half bowl . The bowl arrived with a small crack and now after two uses has cracked in half. I’m sure not all bowls are like this but could be a manufacturing or packaging issue
