Lightly scented feels fantastic
A lot of the comments screamed at the fragrance of this product and I think that it is valid but I still think this is a fantastic and wonderful product.So, if you are expecting this lotion to smell like a Bath and Body Works dupe this is not quite what you are looking for. The first listed ingredient is coffee berry extract which I believe is the overpowering fragrance of this lotion. Once you rub it in you will eventually start to smell hints of lime. The second ingredient is coconut oil which I believe gives this lotion it’s somewhat watery consistency. Despite the consistency it still rubs in very well and a little can go a long way. The fragrance can take a little getting used too but once you’re used to it, it smells fantastic.For a clean product I believe this large bottle is worth the price and that the product itself is worth giving a try. It leaves my skin feeling well moisturized and very soft. While being a light scent it stays on and follows you throughout your day.

Absolute Best!
This lotion is worth every single one of five stars and more. It works! I have very dry skin and live in a very dry climate and this has always done what I need. It absorbs quickly and a little goes a long way. I found Alaffia a few years ago when I was looking for lotion without alcohol (which is a drying ingredient almost always found in products that are supposed to be moisturizing). This one is my favorite because I like the consistency and smell, but all their lotions are good. This is not a smell that floats around you all day or will irritate sensitive noses, but if I lay my head on my arms within about 24 hours of applying it, I can smell a hint of it (I don’t use many scented products). The ingredients are good and their causes and contributions are something I can’t get enough of. Socially responsible companies are my favorite and Alaffia does so much for the world. Even if you try this product and don’t love it, at least your money didn’t go to a faceless corporation of greed.

Product itself is amazing! Does have a bit of a smell but other then that it’s amazing on my skin. Alittle goes along way, more runny then thick. Although I was so sad when my package arrived it was a disaster. And there was a good amount of lotion that was wasted due to the package opening during shipment.

Fragrance is a bit strong (for me), but it is great quality
While other may love the smell, I am sensitive to even the most natural fragrances, and so this is not perfect for me. It deserves five stars, because I can see what they are doing with this, it is great quality, and lovely all around. The “natural coconut fragrance” smells great but it is way too strong for me. I will end up not using this. I really wish they made this without any fragrance or limonene like the unscented one.

Happy to find my favorite Alaffia Coconut Hydrating Body Lotion on Amazon! My local organic and “natural” store selling Alaffia products closed last year and I was on my last bottle! It is wonderful for the skin, not thick, adding much needed moisture. Living in upstate NY, one’s skin is very dry during the winter months of indoor heating. Alaffia Body Lotion also has a light natural light scent (not perfume), which my family compliments when hugging me! For the price and quality, you cannot lose! I highly recommend!

Great lotion, in a Post apocalyptic scenario…
I was trying this lotion right after I got out the shower the day I received it in the mail, and naturally I was a bit excited. That excitement quickly turned to disappointment and bewilderment. I was disappointed because I immediately noticed the semi watery consistency of the lotion and bewildered by the smell….When I think of a body lotion I think of creamy and full of moisture…..not runny and thinAs far as the fragrance it’s as if someone captured 2 intelligent beings from another galaxy and told them “If you want to go back to your home planet then you’ll have to make us some coconut lime body lotion”….without them having any prior knowledge of what a coconut, a lime or a body was…..Consumer whatever you do don’t get this product confused with Bath and Body works Coconut Lime Breeze lotion like I did because that it is NOT! I returned this product and went directly to the Bath and Body works site because Amazon no longer had it in stock (which is how I got in this pickle in the first place) and ordered the Coconut Lime Breeze right from there and got quite a deal actually……I really wanted to like this stuff….

I like that this appears to be a clean product, but it’s a little watery for my liking. It doesn’t keep my skin moisturized all day. Reapplying is necessary. I will keep using but not sure I will reorder.

I have been looking for a natural moisturiser for quite some time. I wanted something budget friendly in a large container and this is exactly what I’ve been looking for! I also love the fact the company supports community projects, that it has 100% certified fair trade ingredients, water isn’t the first ingredient on the list, it’s vegan, not tested on animals, environmentally friendly, paraben free AND is biodegradable! It is EVERYTHING I’ve been looking for in a moisturiser! And it feels great on the skin, it’s not oil, too thick or thin, it’s not a super strong smell but subtle enough and I can feel it moisterising my skin! I couldn’t recommend this product enough! Get on board, you won’t be disappointed 🙂
