See you in Hawaii, love this!
As someone who has tried a lot of different protein powders, I can say that the ALOHA Organic Plant Based Protein Powder is a breath of fresh air. It’s a great option, especially if you’re like me and can’t stand the weird aftertaste of stevia. The best part of this powder is that it’s stevia-free. That’s a huge deal because so many plant-based proteins use it as a sweetener, and it can be a really overpowering flavor. Instead, ALOHA uses coconut sugar, which gives it a more natural and subtle sweetness. The chocolate flavor is rich and delicious without being overly sweet or fake-tasting. Blend quality is awesome! Very filling as the protein content is high! Love the size!

    Great Product, Best in Class
As a health enthusiast and athlete for many years, I’ve supplemented my diet with various types of protein powders. Due to a number of food intolerance recently, I transitioned from whey and isolate protein powders to plant based powders that were easily digestible, non-irritating to my GI and were sourced from minimally-processed natural ingredients. Even with all the options available on the market these days, there wasn’t one product I absolutely loved enough to write a review until now. I purchased Aloha’s vanilla protein powder after thoroughly researching the company and its business practices. It was important for me to know what I was buying, where it came from and how it is produced. The criteria I used in determining my purchase included whether the product was free of pesticides, if the manufacturing process retains its nutritional quality, the nutritional content, if it contained artificial flavors, heavy metals, etc. Overall, it was a question of quality over price. After a week of use, I am sincerely happy with my purchase and will be a repeat customer. Not only does the vanilla flavor tastes and mixes well (I blend it with coconut powder/milk and/or cashew milk due to my dairy/gluten intolerance), but it also hits the spot as a meal supplement. If I’m facing a hectic work day, I’ll prep a smoothie in the morning for lunch and store in the fridge! I left one overnight and was very impressed to discover how well the purity, consistency, and taste held the next day. Although I workout seriously for health and leanness, I don’t use this product as a post-workout fuel so I can’t speak for it in that regard.I strongly recommend anyone looking for a protein powder to do research first. The reality is that quality varies among brands and within brands, even among the plant based powders. Still, you’ll find a lot of the same ingredients and price among brands, it’s just packaged and priced differently. Overall, I found Aloha’s protein powder to be a great product and a huge upgrade from the products I’ve used in the past. Not only is it cost effective, it’s versatile, and gets the job done for my personal nutritional needs. If you compare this product against others on a per unit basis, the price is pretty reasonable for what you get.

    Good value for cleaner ingredients
Product arrived on time and as stated. I’ve never had a protein powder that I’ve loved. They serve a purpose and this one does that. The taste is deceent. I put it in a protein shake that has cashew milk, half an avocado, frozen blueberries, two TBS of raw almond butter and one heaping scoop of Aloha vanilla. Oh, and half of a kids protein shake from KateFarms. I am needing to gain weight, so this adds some calories. I have no issues w/ digestion after drinking it. It’s a good value for cleaner ingredients than most protein powders I looked at. It blends fine (I run the blender as I put the scoop in).Pro tip: If you are prone to constipation, make sure you drink extra water before and after. Or, like me, I add a little LaxaClear (MiraLax) to my water afterward. I dunno why but protein shakes do this to me even though I am very good about staying hydrated.

i was not expecting to like this, but i love it!
i have a dairy intolerance – not just the lactose, but the protein and hormones in dairy as well. So i decided to get this protein powder. i told my husband i am going to drink it all even if i hate it, and i was anticipating hating it. i accidentally ordered vanilla when i only meant to order chocolate (my mistake, not theirs). So i have a tub vanilla and a tub of chocolate flavor. i HATE vanilla protein shakes, so i was disappointed i had accidentally ordered vanilla. The Premier and Muscle milk vanilla flavor are absolutely disgusting – i cannot finish one serving of them. Since i hate all the other vanillas, my husband decided to make the vanilla for me first just to see how i’d react to it. Like i said, i was expecting to hate it, but no! i love it. it reminds me of oatmeal and has a subtle cinnamon flavor. it’s not thick like oatmeal, but the flavor reminds me of oatmeal, like a hint of oatmeal taste and a hint of cinnamon. i’m excited to try the chocolate flavor. i hope i love it as much as the vanilla flavor. if you want to jazz it up add half a banana, ice, a little more cinnamon powder, and unsweetened almond milk.

Great taste and good source of protein
Wow! I absolutely love the taste of this and am amazed at how well it blends in my drinks! Highly recommend and it has wonderful health benefits too. A great source of protein.

  6. Rich Carr

New to protein powder, but this was not a good experience
This was bought for my wife, so it’s her review. She loved that there was no stevia, dairy, or soy in it, (also no flax seed or millet). The product blended up way too thick after blending for a while to fully mx the ingredients. It was difficult to drink even made with a dash of cinnamon, blueberries, a tiny bit of strawberry jam, and coconut milk. My 9 y.o. liked it, but my wife couldn’t swallow it. She gave the advice to stir a tablespoon of the powder and peanut butter into a bowl of hot steel-cut oats and eat it that way instead of a shake. Let us know if you find any good recipes to disguise the vanilla flavor.

  7. Paul Tracey

This has greatly elevated my chocolate flavored healthy meals, and drinks
One of the few really good tasting protein powders with decent nutrition – which is sweet and great chocolate flavor, which doesn’t contain unhealthy artificial sweeteners. It’s so sweet to my taste I add a significantly smaller than full portion to my other unflavored protein powders, and sometimes just cereal. Will have to try adding it to my cacao powder hot cocoa. Just wish it was less expensive and a little less sweet…but works great for how I use it!
