Love this as a meat subsititute
This stuff is an awesome protein bomb. For me, I have no problem digesting high fiber plant proteins like this so I never experience any stomach issues. The taste is pretty bland by itself and doesn’t have a strong scent either so typically I’ll use it as a ground meat substitute by reconstituting it straight in some hot broth and then make sure to season really well. I highly recommend making this into taco meat or sloppy joes. I have also used it as a substitute to make “meat”balls for italian wedding soup by using “no chicken” broth and lots of dried herbs and italian bread crumbs. It’s a nice special occasion food since we don’t eat tons of mock meat and usually stick with tofu or beans.

Tastes great
It is easy to use and it tastes great. It makes many vegan recipes easier and has the best texture for a meat substitute that we have had.

The absolute best for spaghetti
I’ve been a vegetarian for many years and these are the best T V P that I have found. Very versatile they make good meatballs and can literally trick you when cooked right in tomato sauce. They approximate ground meat very well coming across maybe somewhere between beef and turkey – but it didn’t matter for the Bolognese I was able to make. Just seasoning the product and then saute it, and after that simmer in pasta sauce… perfectly delicious on top of whole wheat pasta. But what I like the best is that it is vegetarian, and I can enjoy pretty much any recipe that would call for ground beef ( tacos, spaghetti, lasagna, etc) and it is much lower in calories and fat. My greatest success with it has been using it to simulate sausage crumbles on top of pizza. Give it a try.

An Easy Go To for Any Meal
This is a meat substitute made from soy flour. It looks like dehydrated hamburger meat. It is flavorless until you add the flavors you want. You Have To Flavor It. It is shelf stable and does not require refrigeration, although once I’ve cooked it and/or added it to my recipe, I refrigerate it. I like having it on hand for quick meatless meals.. you can use it however you like. Some suggestions I’ve seen it used for (but haven’t yet tried all of them) is sloppy joes, meatloaf, pizza toppings, baked potato topping, taco meat, spaghetti meat sauce, hamburgers, etc. It takes 10 -15 minutes to rehydrate with hot water. I don’t want to be without it. Besides being easy to use, it is a very good source of protein.

Tastes great… excellent source of fat-free, plant-based protein!
Have made tacos twice… two different recipes. The recipe matters. My husband says he can’t tell the difference between this and beef the way I’ve made it. It’s amazing. Fat-free too! We are going to be eating a lot of this stuff… fat-free, plant-based protein… awesome! Tastes like what you flavor it with. Texture is just like burger in my taco recipes. It’s probably cheaper than meat when it’s rehydrated, but I found some half the price of this, but I have to fork out $115 for it… which I will… but this is a good value for the size bag.
