Great lotion
I read the one and two star reviews and was sceptical on wether or not to try this product, but I decided to take a chance, because I could not find another lotion for such a reasonable price for 32oz. I’m really glad I did. I find that it does go on a bit greasy, as you continue to rub it in it does feel a little sticky. Once it is completely absorbed in, it leaves your skin feeling so soft and smooth. My fingers have been so dry that they crack and bleed. After using this lotion I no longer have those issues. Some of the reviews stated that it had a really bad smell. I agree that it does have a smell, but I don’t think it is too awful. Besides, the smell doesn’t linger after the lotion dries. Over all, I think this lotion works great!

The glycerin, oatmeal & calendula are must haves!
I always look for oatmeal calendula and glycerin in my moisturizers because they are so great for soothing, smoothing and keeping skin soft. I LOVE this lotion, it’s light, not runny yet it’s not thick. Don’t rub it in too much because it streaks, it just needs a few minutes to sink in perfectly. Literally this is the best non toxic, sensitive skin safe plant based lotion on Amazon. There’s no scent which I prefer, although I wanted to try the rosemary one, I can’t find it anymore. My only issue is I’d love the price to dip from $19 to $14. Whatever happens don’t discontinue!

Truly Excellent Lotion, Pump issue is FIXED (Summer 2025)
If you’re concerned about ingredients you can’t pronounce or skeptical about what hides behind labels such as “fragrance”, this is one of the better skin lotions you can find. It leaves a luxurious feeling on the skin but is not greasy and I could barely detect any smell besides the natural ingredients. 12 hours after applying, my skin still feels nice and healthy, despite being very dry before application. Also, there was definitely nothing added to cover or mask unnatural or unwanted scents. I’m very pleased with this lotion!When it arrived, it was set in plastic on cardboard so it wouldn’t bounce around inside the box and was undamaged or tampered with in any way.So as a consumer who has handled thousands of products and delivery systems over the years, I was a bit stymied when trying to dispense this lotion. The pump has an arrow the points to the direction to turn it to begin use. The trouble is, when you turn it that way, nothing happens… no really, nothing happens. The pump doesn’t “pop up” like any other pump created by man for the last 25 years. There are many other reviews left about the pump and it was an issue for me… but it was the ONLY issue. Thankfully, you just need to pull and twist on it, and twist and pull on it some more until you think you might break it, and then you are close. After a few more pulls and twists, simply swear twice and pull once and it will pop up.Update Summer 2025: The issue with the pump not “popping up” is fixed! A simple twist and it works fine now.Wonderful lotion, extremely poor pump! Still it’s worth it.4 stars because of the pump, everything else about the lotion is exactly what I wanted.

Good moisturizer
I like this aloe based unscented lotion. It works well without being too sticky and dries pretty fast. Not much dry skin this past winter thanks to this stuff and it cleared up some chronic redness. The giant bottle lasts a long time too and is a good value.

product is excellent with a slight pleasant Aloe scent, the only problem was the poor packing when shipped, it was sent in a thin shipping bag with a piece of cardboard, some of the contents leaked out during shipping

Says they take returns. They don’t. We reached out because it caused immediate burning and I noticed some ingredients that I didn’t know were toxic until it caused a reaction….turns out it’s not unusual for sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate to cause a reaction or long term health issues.Idk if that’s what did it, but I’ve used products with most of the other ingredients and no issues. They might have something in here that isn’t listed for all I know. I also didn’t catch that water is the first ingredient….so wouldn’t moisturize well if it hadn’t felt like acid on my flesh. Which I haven’t had the enjoyment of feeling since I was a child.This was expensive (since it’s a large amount of trash) and they blamed the customer. I told them what happened and sent pics and they refused a return saying it’s my fault for not knowing I had an allergic reaction to what is not a safe ingredient in their product….cool.Not buying from this company again. I don’t care what my excuse is, you don’t lie about returns and then shame your customer when you fail.Oh and “Avalon organics” only seems to use so much “organic” in their products to begin with. For now coconut oil and argan oil are good enough for me at least. BTW lavender is an endochrine disruptor. I did know this, I just make sure to use one product at a time with lavender so I don’t overdo it. Be careful.

I have been using Avalon organics, especially this body lotion for more than 10yrs in the US. Infact I gifted people the s same product and I got a lot of thanks and love because it used to cure dryness, fast!!! In 2022 I purchased one from amazon UAE. It is not the same product!!! Back then it cured the incurable dryness of skin. Now it actually increase the problem!!! One of the worst lotions I ever experienced!!! At first I thought maybe, only maybe since UAE has excessive heat, maybe the formula changed to something irritating !!! I let other family members use the newer one and they had the same bad experience. Then I read recent reviews from the US and people seem to have a very negative feed back as well. This was my go to lotion, my magical sirum ,now it is no longer the case!!! Please save your self the agony and don’t buy it !!!(
