I’ve been trying this out on my microlocs for about 7 months now so far no problems. I love the ingredients and the scent feels like it lasts forever, (2 weeks tops). I keep getting compliments. It really gets that greasy feeling out without overly drying my hair and leaves my hair moisturized. 10/10

Such a nice scent and a wonderful product for my hair!!! It’s also safe for me and my 4pg. allergies list!!!! I’d recommend and do recommend this product to very many people!!! I’m disabled and live in a skilled nursing facility and have staff help me with things I cannot do myself and multiple staff have complimented on the easy of it’s use through my hair and they and I agree with how nice smelling and soft it makes my hair. Also many people have noticed how nice my hair looks and smells!!! I tell them about it, it’s natural safeness, it’s great price and where to get it. I know that at least 3 of them have also already purchased it and love it!!!

The lemon shampoo was good. The conditioner was very bad.
Wow! It’s been a ‘roller coaster’ of experiences with this The clarifying natural shampoo we’ve used for years is no longer made. Thus began the search for a different option. After reading reviews and looking at information on EWG, we purchased the lemon clarifying shampoo. It has a good natural fragrance and we did well with it, although it was a bit drying.. So I ordered the lemon conditioner, and then things went downhill quickly!The odor was terrible. It seemed like it was rancid or something. I did all I could to try to get it out of my hair as quickly as possible. The Amazon online account system did not allow for an explanation of the problem with this product. “damaged or defective” was a combined choice. So the system required a photo. There was no damage to the container. It’s a defective product inside the bottle! How does one take a picture of that?I know this is a long review, but it’s becoming more important to point out that Amazon’s Customer Service has sadly gone downhill recently. Don’t get me wrong., we’re blessed to have deliveries–especially since disability has been challenging, and we’re not able to drive. However, it took me 30 minutes to get this resolved. ‘Stick’ at first in the menu, then being placed on hold and being transferred to a different Customer Service Representatives (both were very nice by the way) and even after all that I had to submit a picture of the bottle to a Customer Service Representative, and wait for him to view he email in order to get a refund. So disappointing! I realize that a product review may not be the best place to express this. But, the only way customers can review Customer Service is by rating the specific agent. There is room below for comments, but these agents were fine. It’s not their policy. It’s Amazon’s new policies– and I hope they change for the better soon.

Pros of this conditioner: it’s medicated, leaves scalp feeling refreshed, and softens hair. Ever since I started using this conditioner twice a week, my hair and scalp have never looked better. Zero dandruff to be seen.Cons: The smell is not great. It’s not awful, but it’s not pleasant either. The chamomile leafs on the bottle had me thinking it would smell similar to chamomile tea, but it really doesn’t. The conditioner itself is SUPER watery too. It’s hard and near impossible to get a good lather on my hair.Will I keep buying this after I run out? Probably not. But I’m also not going to throw it out as it serves its purpose. I do recommend it if you don’t mind the smell and can get past the lather issue as like I said, the product does what it says it does.

I like it. People are complaining about the smell. This is a medicated hair treatment, if you want it to smell like bubble gum try Herbal Essences. Your dandruff won’t improve though. As someone that has struggled with scalp fungus/dandruff for a long time this smells exactly like other products I’ve used and better than some. I’ve used Coal Tar and Sulfur products, this smells great compared to those. I had a hard time finding a medicated dandruff conditioner without silicone. I have Afro-type hair and I need to be able to cowash. There aren’t many dandruff cowash products out there, but this one is perfect for that. I like that it’s not heavy. It’s very watery and lightweight. The color and texture reminds me of milk, honestly. It’s perfect for my needs. It won’t replace hair masks or deep conditioner. If your hair needs that I’d follow this with one of those products. This is a light conditioner, or in my case a moisturizing dandruff product that will allow me to lightly cleanse my hair daily without drying shampoos, since Afro hair cannot tolerate shampooing daily. This rinses clean and doesn’t leave that nasty silicone buildup feel which defeats the purpose. After cowashing/cleansing with it, I follow with a silicone-free deep conditioner or leave-in depending on how much time I have. Avalon, please keep making this! Please also make it in the big pump bottle. This little bottle won’t last long for thick long hair like mine. The big pump bottle can last me a month, this one is only going to last a week or so since my hair is so long.

5 Star Product – 1 Star Amazon shipping experience
First off – this is a 5 star product – my mom has been using this for the past 6 months with wonderful results – thicker hair, helped with her hair lose & overall much easier on her scalp. HOWEVER, Amazon shipping it in a paper bag resulted in the pump and bottle neck cracking, leaking liquid all over the place when we opened it up.PLEASE – Amazing logistics, read this comment and make an update to how you ship liquid products like this – terrible experience for customers – I am positive I’m not alone in this!!
