Delicious tasting Bone Broth Collagen Powder for sipping & cooking, 16g/scoop serving 3rd pty tested
I recently started enjoying this Vitauthority brand Bone Broth Collagen Powder Cooking & Sipping Broth. This is a great product to supplement with for enjoying at home as a soothing and delicious sipping broth, or you can add it as a flavor base while cooking in a soup or stews for additional flavor and nutrition. It is very tasty to my liking with its naturally flavored Mushrooms & Herbs flavor. What you are getting in each scoop serving is powered by the 2 main ingredients, chicken bone broth collagen powder and hydrolyzed bovine collagen. In addition they’ve added 4 fruiting body functional mushroom extracts, lion’s mane, shiitake, maitake and tremella. All together the nutrition includes 16 grams of protein in each scoop with the packet container offering 15 servings. It’s good to know that this product is free of gluten, dairy, soy and there are no sweeteners or artificial flavors although there is salt included in the ingredients providing 453 mg per serving. You can be assured this is a quality product as it’s 3rd party lab tested for purity and potency. All in all, if you value a clean bone broth collagen cooking and sipping powder to support your wellness, I would suggest you consider this Vitauthority product and give it a try.

Excellent on all fronts
I’m drinking a cup as I write this and I love this stuff. I am a daily tea or coffee drinker and when I make it at home I almost always add some type of collagen powder to boost the flavor and benefits. Every type of collagen powder I’ve ever used is either sweet or unflavored. I’ve come to prefer the unflavored, as the sweet ones usually have an aftertaste. I am also a huge soup lover so when I saw this I thought it would be perfect for soup season! Well, it turns out I have combined my love of soup with my my morning tea ritual and I’m drinking a cup of this every morning. It’s delicious and such a wonderful change of pace now that we’re entering the Fall months in New England. It’s a rich and savory broth, with just the right amount of flavor and not too salty, although the sodium content is high enough that you need to consider your overall intake. The price works out to $2.67 per serving, which is a large mug for me. That’s less than I spend on a chai or iced coffee when I buy one, and it’s comparable to other collagen powders. I love this bone broth powder alternative to liquid, for use in recipes too, and I’m going to keep this on hand all winter. Five stars from me.

Some pretty good soup stock!
This makes a pretty decent barely soup with very little additional work! Cook up some barely, add a tablespoon of olive oil, throw in some chopped green onions, and then add two cups of this prepared broth, and you have a nice meal. It’s not too salty, and there’s definitely plenty of umami flavor from all the mushrooms. This is a little clumpy when mixed with cold water, but it does dissolve with a quick stick. Obviously, it dissolves best in warm or hot water. I didn’t notice any grittiness in the soup, so it provides a fairly smooth broth. A couple of issues: first, I don’t like that they just list “natural flavors” as one of the ingredients. This could be a million different things, and there’s no telling what they are or where they are derived from. Second, the nutritional label is WAY off regarding the percentage for protein. 16 grams of protein is NOT 3% of the RDA for protein. If this were true, then 100% would be over 533 grams of protein! No one, not even those most massive body-builder, requires that much protein. Most people really only need between 60 and 80 grams of protein per day (depending on weight and physical activity levels), so 16 grams is between 20% and 27% of the RDA. The remaining issue comes down to cost per serving. It works out to be around $2.67 per serving. Not terrible, but it’s still a little pricey for broth. If they doubled the size of the bag, that would make is a better value. Honestly though, you can probably get more than 15 servings per bag, because this is fairly strong. You can reduce the serving size by half and not really tell the difference (other than the change in the macro- and micronutrient content). On the whole, I would buy this again, and I’m looking forward to trying the other flavors.

Super impressed with this broth. I’m not a fan of plain bone broth, I think the flavor is awful, but this, in more of a savory broth form is really good and very easy to drink. I’m kinda tired of protein drinks that are made to taste sweet so this is an EXCELLENT alternative. I drink it just like I would a good cup of coffee, it’s comforting and tastes lovely. There is some sediment at the end of your cup (likely herbs and spices), just like you would get in a bowl of Ramen, but it’s easy to take one last drink (for me). Great way to get this supplement every day! I would definitely buy more like this in the future!
