Unexpected and Welcome Side Effect
As I glimpsed through some of the reviews before purchasing I saw no mention of appetite suppression, only evidence that it really worked so I bought it.I had no thoughts about its effects on appetite so wasn’t expecting it when my appetite was suddenly under control.I had a borderline binge eating disorder, one that would cause me to disassociate and binge eat if I tried too hard to manage it. It was all I could do to keep myself from being morbidly obese as my thoughts were uncontrollably flooded with thoughts of eating practically 24/7, whether as forefront thoughts or background thoughts. These would be especially triggered if I saw food on the counter (repeated offenses would cause me to eat whatever it was, even if I didn’t like it), in media or someone was cooking around me. Food became something agonizing, something I wanted to avoid, to have nothing to do with, I started subconsciously hating all food, thinking everything is cheap and disgusting as a defensive mechanism to combat my need to consume at all hours of the day and yet still found myself eating things I didn’t need when I wasn’t even hungry and didn’t even enjoy it. I felt disgusted watching or listening to people, including myself and even animals, eat. (I only say borderline because I somewhat managed to not give in nearly as often as I wanted to.)Losing weight after a binge was impossible (all the health specialists, including therapists, in my area are completely ignorant and unhelpful except to tell me that I didn’t have anything physiologically wrong with me that should be keeping me from doing so) so it was all I could do to keep a maintenance weight by trying to maintain a balance of control that wouldn’t push me into a disassociative state.So imagine my surprise when all of that was suddenly just… gone… I’d been suffering from this for more than two decades, only growing worse as it dragged on, and I’m only three decades old, yet I now find myself eating only when I’m actually hungry; my thoughts are freed up and I actually have a healthy relationship with food again. It’s only been three weeks. I’ve lost 8 lbs. For the first time in my life I actually lost weight. This did so much more for me than I could have ever expected. I don’t even know what to say.(Other than, if you also suffer a binge eating disorder, you probably shouldn’t expect the same results as everything is entirely individual and reviews on appetite suppression are apparently mixed. (Looked it up as I was writing this review.) Go into it tentatively, without definitive expectation, and I hope it works for you, too. It’s incredibly liberating.)

It’s helping
UPDATE: DEC. 4thTo see if the CLA pills are helping, I stopped taking them for a week (Nov. 23 – Nov. 30). During that week, and with the same exercise routine (walking 30 min a day at various speeds and HIIT for 30 minutes a day) and same diet changes (no red meat or pork, no sodas, bread or snacks with high sugar or carbs), my weight stayed exactly the same. I resumed taking the pills on Dec. 1st, and as of this morning, three days after resuming taking the pills, I’ve lost three more pounds (a pound a day, and again, keeping the same exercising and diet changes). So, yes, I believe the CLA pills are definitely helping. Energy is through the roof! As of today, I’m pushing my workouts from 30 minutes of walking and HIIT (each) to 45 minutes daily.I received the product on Nov 7th (shipping time was pretty standard, so I’m not “taking any points off” for that), and I began taking it on Nov 8th. This review was written on Nov 21st, after 13 days of continuous use.I believe it’s helping. I’ve exercised and dieted prior to this and didn’t receive the same results I received while using this product. In the time I’ve been taking this, I’ve exercised at least 30 min daily and changed my eating (no red meat or pork).While I do not see much change on the scale or when physically looking at myself, practically everything I own does not fit me like before! My clothes are looser. I didn’t measure the circumference of my waist, arms, or legs, but used the scale only (I know that measuring would have been preferable, but because the scale (for me) is the last to register the change, I use that because it’s a challenge for me).I have noticed an increase in energy, and I’ve also noticed that I can stick to intermittent fasting since taking these pills because I’m not as hungry as before. I’m optimistic that the use of these pills, along with the exercise and diet change, worked together to help me see the difference. The last time I did this without the CLA pills, I lost only three pounds in two weeks. This time around using the CLA, I’ve lost 6 pounds in 13 days.My reason for giving this four stars: Because to me, giving it five stars would mean that I believe that this product alone is responsible for weight loss, and that isn’t true. This isn’t a magic pill; you must institute some changes for this product to help you.Overall, I highly recommend this product.

Be careful
I had no idea why my bad cholesterol suddenly showed up high on my tests, as I eat pretty healthy. After a quick google search I was shocked to find out that CLA can increase the bad cholesterol. I’m not taking it anymore.
