Perfect size!
I hate swallowing pills and gag on large ones. I have been avoiding taking calcium because of this. When I found these “mini” pills I decided to try them. First of all, they are soft gels. This helps me swallow them easier with no after taste. They slid right down. Soft gels temd to be obsorbed by the body easier as well. Second they are smaller than a normal calcium pill. They are a bit fatter, but shorter than a normal capsule. I will definitely buy again!!

I mainly buy these because they are smaller than most Calcium supplements
I was tired of taking huge horse pills to get my Calcium everyday so I opted for these smaller ones. The disadvantage is that you have to take 4 pills per day but since these pills are smaller they are much easier to swallow and because they are softgels, they don’t get stuck in your throat on the way down.

How can one tell?
I ordered these because my usual calcium is no longer available through Subscribe and Save. These are white gel caps and they’re not huge like my regular ones but they’re not exactly “mini.” For comparison, I would say they are about 3/4 the length of an Allegra allergy tablet and a lot plumper around the middle. You know, football shape. Since they’re gel caps they go down fairly easily but it’s still annoying to have to take four of them for the dosage. I think it’s rather confusing to purchasers that vitamin labels say 1200 mg or 1500 mg etc ( not just this brand) but when you actually look at it, each capsule or tablet or gel cap is only a fraction of that amount and you are required to take more than one to reach that dosage. Why not simply put the actual dosage per pill on the label? ( I know, that would make things too easy for consumers.) As to how well they work – – how come one tell? I was told to take them, so I take them.

It works without difficulty in swallowing the dosage
Great for those who need to build up or keep their bone density normal. You can take the four small doses at once with food or not. I never have had difficulty with that. With the built in vitamin D I am set when I add it to my multi vitamin supplement.
