Trying something different for dandruff
I have had dandruff for years, and I have tried everything under the sun. From head and shoulders, anything with Ketoconazole, Selenium Sulfide, apple cider vinegar, coconut oil, everything. I recently learned that dandruff can also be caused by some kind of fungus, which is what I think I have. I have been trying to tackle the dandruff with that in mind as well. This is my first time using Zizyphus and it seems to be working. These things take time to totally show their effects but I feel like it is making a difference. The bottle is small but you really don’t need too much. I can feel it working, it’s like a very faint burning feeling, but it is not irritating. It does not have an unpleasant smell, and seems to be naturally extracted. I recommend trying this out for anyone who has dandruff and has tried everything else already.

Natural extract from tree barkPros:* smells good — mildly pleasant, not strong* my scalp tingles when I apply as directed and let it set for 3-5 minutes — it feels good!* dead skin washes off my scalp as well as with other dandruff shampoos, maybe better? it’s hard to say* I like that it claims to have natural ingredients (listed on the box, many I never heard of)* small size is good for travelCons:* has scent — not a lot, and this is not a con for *me*, but it says “unscented” and if you truly need zero scent, do not buy this* very small container under 3 fl oz* very VERY expensive — $15 at review time ($5.50/fl oz) — which is 5 to 10 times pricier than big brand dandruff shampoosEarns 3 stars because it does work as advertised, but is crazy pricy. Would be 4 or 5 stars if it were cheaper.

It doesn’t foam much, but when I shampoo twice, I can feel a cool, refreshing sensation on my scalp. This shampoo helped calmed some troubled skin patches that I have on the back of my head. Running my finger over them after drying off I can feel them be less scaly and noticeably less itchy as well. The bottle is quite small though at only 2.7 oz, so best used if you have really short hair, or if you’re only going to be applying it to known troubled spots/patches on your scalp. Otherwise you’ll go through the entire bottle very quickly.
