Excellent Peppermint Castile Soap
Dr. Woods castile soap is even better than Bronner’s, and this peppermint one smells incredible. I like it even better than their lavender castile soap. It’s easy to use, concentrated, and very moisturizing for your skin. I used this in a natural dish soap blend that came out phenomenal. It’s SO much better than commercial dish soaps because those have harsh chemicals and fake fragrances and dyes. They’re rough on your skin, and my mom’s fingers crack badly every winter. So this peppermint castile soap came in handy, blending well with the essential oils of lemon, lime, and spearmint. The smell is intoxicating and very natural. It washes many items, as well as your skin thoroughly, without any residue, and it even cuts grease. It’s perfect for foaming soap dispensers. I really like this gentle yet effective formula and would recommend it to anyone who wants a safer, more natural cleansing alternative.

Cheaper Alternative
I feel like an angry old man whenever I say something isn’t the same as the other something I’m used to, but here it goes. I use Dr. Bronner’s regularly (bar and liquid) for my beard and I’ll also use a few days a week on my hair. While I think this might work “as well’ as the Dr. Bronner’s liquid soap, it does not work the same.To begin with, the bottle and cap and consistency are all pros for this soap. It’s very thick and I imagine this is due to the shea butter. The peppermint is mild compared to Dr. Bronner’s (at least as far as the sensation on my scalp). The biggest con is that as at least one other reviewer has stated, it does not lather the same (as well) as Dr. Bronner’s. I find myself having to wash my hair twice, which I never have to do with DB’s or any shampoo, for that matter. Maybe this is due to the shea butter.Which brings me to the point of the shea butter- I love it. My hair loves it. My scalp loves it. So there’s a trade off: a little bit more product used and a little less drying effect while using.All in all, it’s a serviceable, quality and cost effective castile soap that I will probably purchase again. Great soap for the shower
I have been using the ‘other’ Dr.’s peppermint soap for years now, mainly in foaming soap dispensers. I wanted to see what else was out there which is how I found Dr. Woods peppermint soap.The peppermint scent isn’t as strong and doesn’t last as long as my old brand, but this cleans and rinses very well without drying my skin out. My old brand was very strong which is why I only used it as a hand soap. Since purchasing this brand we’ve even used it in the shower and it works great. Skin feels tingly clean and when used for shaving it left our skin soft and smooth.I also like using peppermint soap when c!earning my kitchen counters and floors. It cleans great and the peppermint helps keep critters from finding their way inside. I just add a bit to a wet cloth for wiping down counters and stove then add a few good squirts to the mop bucket when I mop.I’m also going to check out some of the other soaps under this brand to see which ones we like the best. Will still keep a supply of the peppermint though!

A very good soap
I like the smell of this soap during and after. The only thing I’m not so sure on is that when I’m showering it seems to either really strip me or natural oils or maybe some ingredient makes this somewhat sticky??? It’s not a sticky feeling but after some time it feels like my hand can’t glide over my skin as well and causes like a friction stop/stick. Not sure why and I may try to find another soap to avoid this but I have never used Castile soap before. I purchased this soap specifically because of the more natural sourced ingredients. It definitely is a good pick in that sense!

Felt like a spa experience.
The reviews had me a little worried however I used this today for the first time and it was amazing! The ingredient list is awesome, you really do sense that they have put a lot of thought and pride into their product. It does say on the product that it is thicker and produces a great lather, but that is why I love it. If you are looking for the thinner castille soap that has a bit of a distinct soapy smell, this is not for you. If you are looking for a great smelling liquid soap made of wonderful ingredients (including shea butter) that feels and smells amazing (and rinses clean) I highly recommend this product!

Superior clean feeling, way less chemicals.
Castile soap is the only soap I would ever recommend anyone use. Besides the natural ingredients, simply the way your skin feels after using it is more than reason to buy it. In particular, the peppermint variety has a soothing tingle to it. The tingle isn’t too intense, but it is definitely there. It rinses completely without leaving your skin feeling dry, like regular bar soaps. Even Dove bars don’t even compare. The bottle is meant to refill others, and it is well suited to pump soap dispensers. There are other varieties that are more suited to dry skin (Black soap), and other conditions, but the peppermint is definitely my regular go to.
