My new favorite AM eye cream that makes my under eye area look smoother
Face Republic is a well-known beauty brand. They have a Kolmar-base sunscreen that I’ve used more successfully than some others (many beauty companies start with the same base and then customize it), so I was eager to try another of their products.I noticed immediately that this eye cream had a floral scent. The scent is naturally derived, but even natural scents can cause issues, so I performed a skin patch test. The scent didn’t linger or cause irritation.I dotted little spots under my eyes and out to the side where I have burgeoning crows feet. This eye cream has what the brand advertises as a blurring effect, and it really helps make things look smoother. I’ve used a couple of other eye creams with that effect, but one had a tendency to go on a little too thickly and leave a white cast. The high-priced (>$200; I gave in to a sales pitch at a posh mall) cream I tried blurs similarly to this Face Republic cream that costs less than 1/10th of the price. While I liked that expensive cream, that was something I could never justify getting again.This cream is now on my subscribe and save. The pricey serum had a peptide that is pretty famous and well-researched, but I can buy multiple bottles of a peptide serum, a retinoid, and this eye cream instead, and I will get more for a lot less. I recommend using this during the AM to smooth things over, and then use a good quality serum(s) with a retinoid, bakuchiol, and/or peptides in the PM. Very good eye cream. Helped de puff undereyes and I do see a slight decrease in the discoloration too. Maybe continued use will help more.
