Soothing and cooling relief and recovery
These botanical patches come individually wrapped. They are convenient and easy to apply on the go. I like that the ingredients are all-natural. They are cooling and soothing. I’m using one right after workout, and it does a pretty decent job of providing post workout relief and recovery. The effect seems pretty long-lasting as well.Overall, I like these patches. They work well as a homeopathic remedy for post workout relief and recovery. Soothing and cooling relief. They are made with natural ingredients, and have a somewhat minty, menthol scent, which is okay. For the current price of $3.25 per patch, they are a decent value for the money. Easy to use and work well. Worth giving them a try. They get the job done for me.

Think it helps
I ordered the Fleur Marche Soothe. Botanical Patches, and they come in a box and are individually wrapped. You just undo the wrapper, remove the adhesive wrapper, and place them where you think they would help. They recommend putting them over the veiny areas in the body. I have used all kinds of different patches for different things that are absorbed in the skin, and I have various results. I think these were helpful, but it’s really hard to tell or confirm since the body responds in different ways after working out or using the muscles a lot. I placed in various areas, and left them on for a long time. In the areas that I place them, I did feel recovery was faster, but like I said I don’t really know if I can confirm it’s from these patches but possibly. I didn’t have any negative side effects with the adhesive on the areas that I placed them after working out. However, as a test I had a sore throat and put one on my throat just for giggles, and after a few hours it looked like I had a rash all over, but it was gone by the next day. Lol. I thought I would feel a tingling menthol sensation while they were on as I have had patches like that for pain, but I didn’t notice that they were on at all.

Negative reaction. But also, I’d like to see the studies.
I’m not sure what happened, but I had a negative reaction to these patches. To the best of my knowledge, I am not allergic to any of the ingredients or any adhesives. I applied the patch to freshly cleaned, dry skin, and applied it to the exact location they show in the photos. I wore it for approximately 6 hours and did not get it wet during that time. When I took it off, I noticed that my skin was very red, splotchy, and irritated. This persisted for multiple days, and eventually my skin in that area began to peel. At no point was there any pain (and I would classify this as a mild reaction), but I would advise proceeding with caution. As with anything else you use, there is always the chance of a negative reaction. I could simply be allergic to something, as other reviewers haven’t experienced this so far.I’d like to touch on the product/concept itself, though. The individual packets themselves say “The safety of this product has not been determined”. There are a lot of gray areas when it comes to the claims that can be made about essential oils. There is concern regarding the regulation of essential oils, as well as the safety of using them at certain concentrations (as well as needing to be careful about how and where they are applied). I am no expert. My goal is to simply encourage everyone to do their own research. I am not against the use of essential oils, otherwise I would not have tried these or other products! You just have to be careful, because not all companies have the consumer’s best interest in mind. With that being said, Fleur Marche appears to be a brand that cares about their product and consumers. Their branding is nice and the quality of the patches is good (the materials chosen allow the patch to be flexible and move with you). I would like to see the reports of the studies and product-testing that they list that they have done, as I feel it is really important to have that level of transparency when dealing with products of this nature.

Placebo?
I can’t tell if this patch is actually doing anything, if it is placebo effect, or if time is just generally helping me recover. I’ve had the patch on probably about 12 hours now (max) and it’s hard to say.The patch is pretty cool-looking. It is made of a really nice, silky-satin feeling burgundy material (for some reason), making it highly noticeable if you wear it on your forearm like it suggests.I didn’t, though, because my arms have been breaking out in rashes lately, and I am very sensitive/allergic to many adhesives. This one isn’t making me itch at least, but I haven’t taken it off yet either, so there’s still time.It says to put it on a veiny part of your body. I wanted it on my thigh, so I put it over the spot with the most veins. I really overworked myself yesterday, and was having a bad charley horse that kept coming back. I know that was from overexertion and dehydration though, so it naturally became better over the course of the day as I recovered and replenished water and electrolytes.Yesterday rough. My body went through an ordeal. I’m feeling pretty good considering– so maybe it is helping. My muscles are still pretty sore, though. This is no miracle, and it doesn’t even work in the way I was expecting. I don’t feel the coolness of any mint/menthol feeling, and can’t even smell it. It is also a very small patch. So if you are expecting it to be something akin to Salonpas, this isn’t it. This seems more like a birth control or nicotine patch (I think, anyway. I’ve never actually taken either personally, but this is small). Thanks to Vine, I go to try these for free, but for the listed price of $22.75 for 7 patches, I don’t feel like these are worth it. It may be doing something, but if so, it’s really hard to determine. As long as the adhesive doesn’t cause an allergic reaction for me, I may try again sometime, but these aren’t what I expected, and I wouldn’t go out of my way to purchase these again.
